New Paramount+ Ad Delivers Split Second DSC/PIC/SNW Crossover, Could a Real Crossover Be Far Away?

‪‪I don’t think that it’s very believable that Shatner was playing 38 in TMP, but ‪‪I accept it because of a willing suspension of disbelief. I’d have a much easier time believing Tawny Newsome is in her mid to late 20s.

Also ‪‪I never said Mariner was or should be 22, just that Chekhov was meant to be when Koenig was ‪‪in his 30s, and that Mariner could be portrayed by Tawny Newsome in live action believably as younger than her actual age.

I wouldn't mind Tawny Newsome using her real age.

It'd stick with Mariner being a Rebel Ensign who refuses to be upgraded in rank and have more "Responsibility".

Regarding Captain Ramsey's age...

Because of the Dominion War, a lot of experienced officers were killed. Many people might have been fast tracked to a captaincy. Tryla Scott's record could very well have been broken. Plus, we don't know for sure if she gained that rank before or after she was taken over by the parasite... if before, she might have been placed there as a mole for the mother parasite. If after, kudos to her for getting the rank faster than anyone.

(It does make you wonder about her age, though. Riker was offered the Drake before coming to the Enterprise, and Paul Rice got that job when Riker turned it down. They were at the Academy together. Even if Riker was a freshman and Rice was a senior, Rice would have been captain at around 31 or 32 years old, which beats Kirk. Something else to consider... as organizations get larger, more posts open up. This would especially be true of Starfleet, because it's not just ships that have posts. They also have starbases, planetary defense posts, etc. Since DISCOVERY in the 23rd century had a vast amount of Starfleet ships, it's almost a certainty that Starfleet is much larger 100 years later. In Kirk's era, his achievement was supremely rare. By TNG's era, having a captain at 30-32 years old might be fairly commonplace.)

Plus it could always be an older version of the characters. None of the Trek series are in sync at the moment.
Exactly. Picard is set 20 years after Lower Decks, iirc.

Also I can see Mariner being a Fenris Ranger or something similar by then. I think she'll run out of patience with Starfleet sooner or later.

Honestly, Mariner doing that kind of work is a better fit then her being in StarFleet.

She won't be bound by Rules / Regulations.

No Halo/Trek crossover until we've got the Doctor Who/Trek crossover out of the way. It needs to wait its turn.

Butthead (and by default Daria), Spongebob and Eric Cartman are all in the Star Trek universe, confirmed.

Good choice to use Rapp and Briones. :techman:

Both of them have musical theater backgrounds (Rapp was in Rent and Briones was in a touring company of Hamilton).

True, as does our new Uhura, Celia Rose Gooding. She was Tony nominated, and won a Grammy for her Broadway debut Jagged Little Pill.

My inner musical theatre geek has been very happy at how the world of Star Trek and the world of musicals has been intersecting these last few years.
