Calhoun's look has been different a few times on various covers but I'm looking forward to this one. I too am in need of a NF fix, but seeing Calhoun in Before Dishonor was nice.

Does that mean I have to read the comics to find out what happens to the crew? Because I'm not and never have been a fan of comics.

And yes, I'm aware that PAD will probably explain all in his books, but that doesn't mean I'll understand it. I never understood the Excal blowing up--only later finding it was caused all the way back in the Double Helix series.

I agree; Amazon has certainly been wrong before. Besides, Peter David hasn't even mentioned the New Frontier comic book on his website yet, let alone any new prose fiction (then again, he did get a bit snippy when people didn't like Before Dishonor, so maybe he's backed off from mentioning his Trek work for a bit
).

Because this thread is about New Frontier, that one is about everything IDW announced for next year, which happens to include New Frontier too, but as New Frontier is rather popular is what got focused on the most, but that thread is also about D.C. Fontana’s miniseries, the John Byrne series and the Mirror Universe comics.

Actually, all renditions so far have supposedly been based on a series of portrait photographs cover artist Keith Birdsong took of a photogenic neighbour!
PAD has said he's most satisfied by the depictions of the crew in the WildStorm NF comic, since he had approval/input into the development of the pencilling and inking. PAD has never had approval over the novel covers.
As long as he's the same Calhoun I'll be happy.
