I love my username and will never change it. If someone said it aloud in public I'd probably respond to it as if it were my real name.

I've done that, at scifi cons in Dallas, where folks holler out "od0" 'cause they know what I look like, but not my real name, 'til I tell 'em.

Me too. In fact, people who know me both online and IRL routinely just call me Ice or Iceman

Same here - I've been randomly recognized and addressed by my username while at cons outside of Toronto. I found it very strange.

Yes, I love the show, and I always understood where your name was from. It's really too bad the show is no longer on the air.
