New name ..

The difference is that I'm quite happy with the name I have now, and have no interest in ever changing again.

Your old name was really simple to type, however.

 Fair enough. PKTrekGirl is kind of annoying that way...especially for those who are not Farscape fans and have no idea where the name came from, so maybe can't remember it easily.

You know, though, that a few people around these boards still call me Vash. Shoot, just the other day one of the TrekBBS people I'm friends with on Facebook called me Vash on Facebook. And how long have I been PKTrekGirl? Since the very first day we were allowed to apply for a change, I believe, and that had to be about 5 years ago or more.

I don't mind though. People can call me 'Hey You" as long as I know they are talking to me. The only thing is....I'm not such a huge fan of TNG anymore....:shifty:

I hate my username. People always think I'm a woman. However, I've been here so long that I don't really the advantage in changing it now. If I did that, I'd probably just close my account and start a new one from scratch.

Really, I have always liked your username, and I've known you were a guy since the first time I read one of your posts. But you know, I liked it even more when you had that avatar of a duck or chicken or whatever it was for like, EVER. It sort of all 'fit' for some reason - to this day, I miss the foul every time I see your username.

But your username still sort of rolls off my mental tongue though...It's a cool name. :)

I just looked through my folder of saved avatars, and I genuinely have no idea what you're talking about.

The only thing that even remotely comes close to a chicken (in that chickens lay eggs) is the picture of my godson dressed as Humpty Dumpty:

There are a lot of men on this board who it has taken me quite a while to figure out that they were not female. With Rojo, if the thought even crossed my mind, it only did so for a brief instant. I think his username is a clever one that rolls off the tongue easily and is still very unique.

BTW, half the time when I reply to you, I have to stop myself from typing Vash.....and the first thing that goes through my mind when I see a post from you here or on Facebook is Vash.

^ Wow. Now that is a blast from the past. :rommie: I had completely forgotten about bod.

And RoJo I have never thought you were female. I also agree about your username, very lyrical especially so if you shorten it like I did.

I must admit I thought you were a female for the longest time, RoJo. It's because I kept reading your name wrong, as RoHoJen. It seemed to roll off the tongue better for some reason. Also, you often had the same opinion as me on a lot of topics so I figured you were a chick as well. But I've known better for a while now!

And Mr. Laser Beam, I actually liked your Babaganoosh name because it reminded me of the awesome MXC whenever I read it. :)

I just grew up with a lot of female friends and have this annoying tendency to see every side of most arguments. It makes me very indecisive.

You liked MXC? I had no idea! I thought I was the only one here who ever watched it. Nobody seemed to know what I was talking about when I explained how I got the B-name. :sigh:

For some reason I remember Vash being bitchier.

Especially whenever bod would start debating with her....

But she was a lot of fun too.

 You know, I don't think she'll mind my saying so, but An Officer and I were just chatting about bod a couple of weeks back in PM, reminiscing about 'the good old days'. :p

And in retrospect, I have to say it - although her activities in the DS9 forum were a royal PITA to deal with at the time, bod was a worthy adversary indeed. I'll say this for her - that I can't say about many people who have trolled DS9 - bod was one SMART woman. Kept me 100% on my toes, 24/7/365...whereas I can deal with most forms of trolling with one hand tied behind my back, all the while yawning in boredom. Alas, they just don't make DS9 trolls like they used to.

No doubt about it - she definitely kept my life interesting there for a while.

Oh...and RoJo...it was a cartoonish avatar - I thought it was of a duck or a goose or a chicken or something. Ah well, maybe I'm misremembering - wouldn't be the first time. But regardless, I think other people may like your username a lot more than you do. It really does roll off the mental tongue quite well.

I say I hate it, but it's also the username I use for pretty much everything I do online, so it must not be that bad.

But you know, as long as we are on the topic...erm.....what does it mean, exactly? I've always liked it because of the way it sounds in my head...but I also always wondered where you got it.

Can't believe we are having THIS conversation, after, like, a decade.:lol:

^ That was the possibility I suspected, but I really had no idea.

For what it's worth, I think you picked the right bits.

I love my username and will never change it. If someone said it aloud in public I'd probably respond to it as if it were my real name.

Would they also remind you that Oceania has always been at war with Eastasia? :borg: ;)

(yes, it is a great username. :))
