I could seem them taking the anthologies to their online service (TV movies) or short series.
They said the same after episode III.
They will...eventually, after the market settles down.
This. I could see them returning for Episode X, after the new trilogy is done. Nostalgia for the Skywalker stuff will begin to take hold again.
Yeah shortly before Celebration Rian Johnson said he was going to start work on his movies after his current movie releases to theatres, and Kathleen confirmed at Celebration that they're still working on his movies.

And the Internet promptly exploded.
I was a bit surprised to hear their movie/s was/were actually coming out before Rian Johnson's.
As of right now I have my shirt off and I am rubbing my nipples in a clockwise direction in smug satisfaction of being right.
Too much information
On the contrary; any clockwise/counter-clockwise ambiguity would have kept me up late tonight.
I don't watch GOT but even I know the last season is a mess. Still. I can expect the next trilogy to consist of a scene that took 56 days to shot and can hardly be seen(except when lightsabers are being waved)
Oh and someone stabs a rancor in the eye
So , I'm back to the stance that Johnson will never direct another star wars movie again.
Y'all do realize that these new producers are not just going to bring their GOT sensibilities with them and slap Star Wars on it, right?
We can only hope.
But sadly, anything is possible.
According to Johnson and Kennedy at Celebration his trilogy is still in the works.
I'll believe it when I hear that production started!
Hope springth eternal.
Which could mean all sorts of things - it could end up as a Disney+ series, or a movie with a writing/producing credit by him directed by someone else, or it could go the way of Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 4. We shall see.
