New medals for Trek fan-fiction

I have a fiction story in mind in which one of my characters wears a medal that has her new crew-mates exclaim, "You have a WHAT?!" In my mind's eye, I could even see what it looked like, so I sat down at the computer and opened my CAD programs. After a few hours, not only did I have that medal designed I also came up with a few more.

I'm not going to say what they are yet ... let's see if you all can guess. I will tell you that they are all equivalent to each other and fall just below the Silver Star (and above the Bronze Star and Purple Heart) in order of precedence. It would be difficult for any one person to be award more than one of these, but if that should happen, they are arraigned in the proper order here.

And by the way, feel free to post your own original Star Trek awards and decoration designs.

I like that ribbon, Kaiser. I haven't quite figured out how to do the Trek arch logo in my CAD program yet, otherwise I might have incorporated it on a couple of my designs.

Thanks :) If you want to Collab let me know :)

I used a font for the Starfleet Arrow head symbol actually :)

And I do everything on MSPaint :)

MS-Paint? That's ... challenging. I'm so used to my CAD I can't live without snip-grids. I'm still using IMSI's FloorPlan Plus version 2 for Win-95. I have TurboCAD but find the learning curve just too steep to get into.

As to the medals in my first post, has nobody tried to figure out what they are? See below. I'll put a spoiler tag for those who still want to take a guess.

The first one is the Navigator’s Star: Awarded to individuals who distinguish themselves by displaying exceptional skill in starship handling or navigation directly contributing to the survival of the ship and/or the success of its mission, or by outstanding achievement above the normal call of duty.

Next is the Engineer's Cross, with a similar criteria: Awarded to individuals who distinguish themselves by displaying exceptional engineering skills directly contributing to the survival of the ship and/or the success of its mission, or by outstanding achievement above the normal call of duty.

Next, well, I'm not even sure about the third one because I've changed my mind several times after I drew it. Originally, I was going for something dealing with garrison defense, either on a planet or a base station. But then I thought it might be for the Weapons Officer on a ship. When I showed it to a friend, he said it looked like something for Security. But why award this and not a Bronze Star / Silver Star??? So, not at all sure what it is yet, but the design is just too cool to not share.

On the bottom, the Science Medallion: Awarded to individuals who distinguish themselves by displaying exceptional skills in scientific endeavors directly contributing to the survival of the ship and/or the success of its mission, or by outstanding achievement above the normal call of duty in a dangerous environment.

The Medical Research Medallion: Awarded to individuals who distinguish themselves by exceptional medical science research resulting in breakthroughs or achieving major milestones which will directly benefit Star Fleet or the United Federation of Planets.

And finally the Pilot's Cross (an updated Distinguished Flying Cross): Awarded to individuals who distinguishes themselves by displaying heroism, or by outstanding achievement above the normal call of duty, while piloting or serving as crew on-board a shuttlecraft or other small vessel.

In my original concept, there would be a combat (red) and a non-combat (blue) version of the Navigator's Star, Engineer's Cross, and Science Medallion. I thought about it more and perhaps it might be better to simply add a "V" for Valor device for combat awards. There would also be a research (green) version of the science medal.

I had a few ideas for some abstract graphic art that I just needed to get out of my head. Here's the result:

I haven't defined what they are, but a couple look like they could be an Achievement or Commendation Medal.
