I can't get into Super Hero Squad. I can't stand the constant bodily-function "humor," and the rest of the humor doesn't do much for me.
As for The Brave and the Bold, it's a mistake to equate it solely with the Adam West sitcom. It's largely an homage to the comics of the Silver Age, embracing their way-out storytelling, and yes, there are nods to Adam West here and there, but it also has more modern sensibilities. Sometimes it gets surprisingly sophisticated in its characterizations and surprisingly dark in its storytelling. (In the flashback to Katana's origin, for instance, they pretty much depicted an onscreen death, though it was in silhouette, I think. That's a lot more graphic than B:TAS was ever allowed to get.) The essence of the show is that it's not one uniform thing. It does something different every time and isn't afraid to experiment and take risks.
