New live action "Turtles"?

I actually kind of like those figures. As for the clothing that some people have commented on, it honestly looks to me like the kind of stuff that you tend to get when older people try to look young and hip, and do it badly.

I like how the top of Michelangelo's dorsal shell matches the lines of his belt straps. On one hand I like the look of these but on the other hand they're too "busy" with all of the clothing, straps, belts, different masks and such on them. It's too much. Sort of like how busy and over-complicated looking the Transformers were. It's going too much too far rather than just keeping it simple!

Now you are making me want to rewatch the first TMNT movie all over again. Not the sequels though, those sucked.

That's a good way to put it: "too busy." And what's up with the headgear on Donatello!? Do they think we need visual confirmation that he's the techie of the group? Is it not enough that he acts smart but he has to look smart too? And is he going to be wearing that headgear into battle too?

I like the mask joke. I'm ok with the tone (it's not as light as some versions, but still nowhere near as dark as the original comic). It's still the origin story that I have doubts about. That being said, I'm probably not going to see it either way, so I'm not going to get worked up about it.

LOL, deep voiced, pathos drippling monologue about "creating heroes" and then the realization that some science lab coat nut decided to create those "heroes" from tiny turtles.

The trailer is a mix of things that don't mix for me.
