New live action "Turtles"?

It might work if they are going for a dark edgy movie.

Yeah kind of like if they make it a horror film. That thing would scare the hell out of me in the dark!

you try throwing mutagen on four baby turtles and see if they turn out cute and cuddly

even the original 90's movie ones were a bit creepy

I would love to throw radioactive goo on baby turtles but its so hard to find! The goo, not the turtles they're pretty much every where.

the original turtles had cool smiles so it excused all creepiness from my silly little child eyes.

Oh yes and mutagen is such a cool word.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, originally...ie when they were good, and not kiddie bullshit...were dark and edgy and adult and creepy.

I think that looks great.

Before Splinter taught them to be fighting teens?

I personally hope there is much cursing and defecation. Turtles could use a different interpretation. I've wanted crazy deadly turtles on screen since at least 15. At least! At most 20.

I found the above article with a strange little pic of what may be the new Turtle design for the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. I'm not sure I like it. It's certainly different. But despite all the variations over the years, this looks the most different of any of them.

Well, it certain looks like a turtle but a messed-up version of one and certainly not like how the turtles were drawn in either the toon or the comic book. I do like the roughness of the mask. I mean, how are sewer-dwelling mutant animals going to sew and form a perfect mask?

;)

I wonder if the lip/facial movements will be the same animatronic process they used for the original set of movies or if that'll be done digitaly.

-EDIT: I should've read the article. It explains a bit on how they'd do the talking.-

Those look kinda cool. Like original V mini-series lizards mixed with the things from 70s land of the lost.

I guess it's creepy insomuch as it actually looks like a real turtle head, as opposed to all previous versions, which were more cartoony and humanized.

If mutant turtles were real

That's too real/detailed and even scares me. Maybe even the new movie suits aren't too far removed from that.
