I saw his reply stating that he didn’t spoil anything as it was all in the trailers. Must have missed the mention of the ship name in the trailers, not to mention Q’s initial appearance and everything else mentioned.

Yeah, sounds like some CYA on his part. Granted, there IS a Federation ship in the trailers that is in the regular timeline. We see explosions in the corridor with crew in Prime uniforms. Of course nowhere does it say that's the ship he mentions, but maybe if you've actually seen the first episode like he has it makes sense....

He was also surprised that there’s a season 3 in the interview with Goldsman…

He also didn’t seem to be aware that the official con isn’t held in Vegas anymore.
