Of course, GR was quick to describe Kirk as his own projected fantasy persona as well - but then, on a more general level that's what writers do all the time.
Kirk's general shittiness towards women explained!

[Burnham] is fascinated and fixated on alien races; particularly the Klingons, for reasons that we’ll come to understand are very personal for her given the fact that we’re at war with the Klingons in the show, she’s going to have a lot to say and do about it.
That must be, because Klingons killed her parents.
They kind of did, Duras was working with the Romulans.Guess I missed the part where Klingon's killed Worf's parents.

Or Inigo Montoya. So we're getting Worf again...
To be fair though - we only really saw his issues once in TNG's -"The Enemy" - where Worf refused to provide a cell transfusion (why Klingons and Romulans would be biologically compatible is beyond me, but hey magic medicine of Star TrekA long time enemy killed his parents and he has issues with that enemy.
Poetic Irony, that's about it. Why he wasn't compatible with the Vulcan doctor in the same room, well, that's because shut up, that's why.why Klingons and Romulans would be biologically compatible is beyond me
Watch TOS sometime and find out?Was he?

Been watching it for 50 years. Kirk's a heroic leading man. Without seeing other Captains it's hard to know how exceptional he is. The few Captains we have seen are hopefully not the norm. Though Garth seens to have been exceptional in his day. And Pike seems to have followed a path similar to Kirk and may have become a Captain at the same age.Watch TOS sometime and find out?
I honestly get the feeliong that they (the TOS writers and producers) were saying ANYONE who rose to the Command of one of the 13 Federation Starsip/Constitution Class vessels was an exceptional person:Been watching it for 50 years. STONE: Stop recording. Now, look, Jim. Not one man in a million could do what you and I have done. Command a starship. A hundred decisions a day, hundreds of lives staked on you making every one of them right. You're played out, Jim. Exhausted.
MERIK: He commands not just a spaceship, Proconsul, but a starship. A very special vessel and crew. I tried for such a command.
It Burnham loves prune juice... @BillJ is OUT!So we're getting Worf again...

Ludicrous as it is, I do have a soft spot for that plot. I'm such a sucker for the Ancient Astronauts trope, on the occasions when it isn't blatantly racist.I am pretty sure that no one wants to touch the "super - species seeding the galaxy" plot line again. Let it die.
