New Incredible Hulk TV series still going ahead

Should be interesting. Curious if they'll do something like the old Bixby series, which didn't really take that much for the comics and was more of a Fugitive formula, or they'll try to have the supporting cast ( General Ross, Betty, Rick etc.) and more 'out there' storylines from the comic books which have become the foundation for the troubled movies.

^ Well, Del Toro specifically says that it will be different from what's gone before. And anyone familiar with his work will know not to expect a conventional tv show like the Bixby/ Ferrigno one.

Still, with the Bana, Norton and now Ruffalo incarnations on the big screen in the past decade, even Guillermo will have to be on top form to show us something we haven't seen before.

They could have a storyline in which Ross turns himself into the Red Hulk, I suppose. I'm actually starting to like the Red Hulk -at first he seemed kind of OTT, but Jeff Parker is really doing good with the character.

I would like to finally see Hulk's arch-nemesis The Leader in some form. It'd be interesting to see brain vs. brawn, instead of the Hulk vs. another muscle-bound monster.

Del Toro seems to have his finger in just about everything these days, not to mention the odd aborted project like his Hobbit or Mountain of Madness.

Oh well. At least Pacific Rim might be good.

Although the monster was a pure CGI creation in the two Hulk movies, in the series it will be a blend of prosthetics, puppetry and computer animation.

Sensible approach for TV, but I have to ask:

Have they signed Doug Jones yet?
