New He-Man movie in the works.

Remember these?

I do, and I still can't stand Skeletor's girly pose.
WHERE THE HELL DID THOSE COME FROM!?!?!?!

I thought that the rumblings of this upcoming He-Man movie were considered to be positive because the property was going to be respected and given a LotR-type epic style. Where did the negativity come from?

Also, those pics, He-Man looks pretty bad-ass (even if I pictured him a little more muscular), but when did Skeletor become a tranny?

I remember those...I think there was even a back story posted with them as part of someone's attempt at a fan fic back in the day. I'm pretty excited despite what all the negative fans might think about another live action movie. There have been rumors that they're planning to use 300 style special effects which could be interesting. Having read the Justin Marks script I hope that they go in a more faithful direction. I have hope that this will be done right.

As I mentioned in my first post I wouldn't mind seeing Amy Adams as Teela, Frank Langella back as Skeletor since he did such an awesome job in that rotten first movie. As for He-Man/Prince Adam, I wouldn't mind if they find an unknown.

I'd actually like to see them cast two different actors for Prince Adam/He-Man. Make it into a real transformation instead of Adam just getting tanner. You may laugh but I think John Cena has the looks for He-Man. His acting ability I can't vouch for as I've never seen any of his movies.

Dolph Lundgren said he'd be willing to cameo in a new He-Man movie. Maybe he can play Trap-Jaw!

I definitely agree about the Prince Adam/He-Man thing. I guess one of the benefits of the first movie was that we never actually met Prince Adam. He was just always He-Man.

And because I can never resist posting this [super awesome and gay] picture of myself from 4 Halloweens ago...

We need something like THAT for the new movie!

Thy're private drawings of an artist called Marko Djurdjevic. Back in the day he was an aspiring roleplaying games artist in Germany who got quite a good rep there (met him once at a Con.. very decent guy).

Some years ago projects in the US made him move there and since he's been an artist for Marvel and other fantasy related artwork.

These were done as a private project not endorsed by anyone.. just his visual take on the franchise.
You can see some more stuff here:

Well personally i thought Johnson did a great job on "Kung Fu Panda" which was Dreamworks's best movie since the first two Shrek flicks.

This could be a nice fun epic fantasy/sci-fi/action adventure movie that harkens back to the old school days of "Conan", "Krull" and "Fire and Ice". Afterall "Transformers" and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" proved to be successful live-action adaptations of animated shows from the 80's now with "G.I. Joe" and "Thundercats" coming soon, "He-Man" has finally been greenlighted. Hopefully it will improve over the not too bad 1987 attempt and will be faithful to both the 80's and 2000's He-Man cartoons.

Here's my ideal cast for this movie and sequels.

He-Man/Adam: Eric Bana.
Man-At-Arms: Gary Busey or Nick Nolte.
Sorceress: Sharon Stone.
Teela: Jessica Biel or Amy Adams.
Skeletor: Hugo Weaving.
Hordak: Frank Langella or Tony Todd.
King Randor: Gerald Butler.
TrapJaw: Bruce Campbell.
BeastMan: Tyler Mane.
Evil-Lyn: Kate Beckinsale.
Fisto: Huge Jackman.
Stratos: Ewan Mcgregor.
Voice of Orko: Tom "Spongebob" Kenny.
Adora/She-Ra: Brande Roderick or former Playmate Holly Madison.
Bow: Josh Harnett.
Voice of Kowl: David Hyde Pierce.
Grizzlor: Kane Hodder.
MossMan: Ken Foree.
Manteana: Doug Jones.
Voice of Leech: Jeffery Combs.
Glimmer: Michelle Trachenberg.
Frosta: Natasha Heinstrech.
Catra: Kelly Hu.
Scorpia: Selma Hayak.
Voice of Swiftwind: Liam Neeson.
Voice of Horde-Prime: Tobin Bell, Robert Englund or James Earl Jones.

^ That cast list is way too large and too expensive salaries...the salaries on this movie would be more than the production budget! I wouldn't include She-Ra Princess of Power in a MOTU movie. I would wait until seeing box office reaction and then decide to go in the direction of a trilogy that slowly introduces all of these characters. I'll still have to think about casting.

I believe those pics by Marko (I can't belive they are still by him lol) were accompanied with a planned story called He-Man The Fallen where Skeletor had taken over Eternia (similar to the movie) and He-Man had literally fallen from grace into disgrace. I could be thinking of another fan fic but I'm pretty sure that is where those pics were from. I personally think they look kick ass...

No, I think you're right. That is why He-Man looks so haggard.

Still doesn't excuse tranny Skeletor.

Don't they have to change his name to Person-Person? Or People-Person?

People-Person and Those Who are Just as Equal as Everyone Else in the Universe.
