I thought we had got to relative contemporary-ness.

After the Fall/Missing in Action is roughly six to eight months prior to Before Dishonor.

The IDW NF comic "Turnabout" follows Missing in Action directly. Treason will follow on from Turnabout.

If PAD gets to do another IDW comic opportunity, he would go back in time and tell the story of the Jellico/Mackenzie rapproachment [so sayeth PAD at Shore Leave].

Thank you, I am grateful for any NF news I can find!

Hopefully PAD will get this chance to write the Jellico/Mackenzie rapproachement story for IDW!

The fourth issue cooled down my enjoyment of the current NF comic story quite a bit and if it will be more of a hit or miss for me very much depends on the coming last issue.

Because this is the NF news thread I want to repeat here that I have learned that "Treason" won`t be related to Destiny.

Because this is the NF news thread I want to repeat here that I have learned that "Treason" won`t be related to Destiny.

I know this might be heresy to some in this forum, but I'm glad to hear this. That's not to say I'm not excited about Destiny or the fact that it will have wide-reaching and lasting implications in the book universe, but it's nice to have ongoing stories that are entirely separate from the whole Destiny situation.

That really doesn't suprise me, since (other than Gateways) NF seems be pretty much it's own seperate little section of the Trekverse.

At first I was disappointed that “Treason” is not related to “Destiny” but after I thought about it I came to the conclusion that it is better this way.

I think one reason why “Before Dishonor” was flawed is because PAD didn`t read all related books. It is better if PAD has the time and opportunity to study everything in and around Destiny – and write the Destiny related NF novel afterwards if he wants to. With NF, that is nothing new anyway, that the series goes back in time in order to cover past events.
