Oh yeah, I'd forgotten these were prequels. Funny thing is, I don't even care about the logic behind characters being alive or dead in this franchise.

I agree. Even a friend of mine who LOVES these movies didn't even notice until I pointed it out.
I really hope the treatment for The Brazilian Job didn't get squandered on this movie.
well, my sister said she's seen a TV spot for it over here in the UK and it was called 'Fast Five', so go fig...
