NEW FAST AND THE FURIOUS!!

KJbushway

Commodore
Just saw the new commerical for it. Has anybody else seen it?
What are your first impressions?

I think its going to be like all the fast and the furious except for the second one-great.

That reminds me I still have to watch the fourth one before this comes out. Tokyo Drift is still my favourite of the series, but it's great to have Diesel back, but not so much where Walker's concerned.

Tokyo Drift is the best so far. The fourth was really good, but a bit too serious at times. This one kind of looks like they bought a script for a different movie and changed it up a bit to fit in with the F&F franchise. Still pretty excited for it though.

I still haven't seen the 4th one either.

I like the first the best, though Tokyo Drift is great too. The second is OK in a "fun bad movie" way.

"We hungry..."

They're a pretty amusing franchise. I saw the first one in theatres and remember the "tuners" in the cinema car park turning it into a very low-budget recreation of the meet in the movie's opening scenes just as I was leaving...

You're just now seein' the trailers for this? Damn, I wish I lived in your world...

I've been seein' teasers, trailers, postes & even a cardboard standee in the theater lobby for months!!!

And, yeah, I'll probably go see it. I liked the first for what it was when it came out on DVD, went to the theater for the second one & used a coupon to see the third for free (thank god, 'cause it sucked ass), and saw the fourth at a free screenin' thanks to AICN.

It's pretty mindless entertainment, but I am lookin' forward to seein' Vin vs the Rock.

I'm definitely looking forward to this one. The last one was super fun. This one looks like the most insane one yet.

I hope they center a little more on the cars in this one as opposed to the last one. Also, I think this is a prequel to Tokyo Drift as I think it has the character from that movie that
died
.

You don't die. You just get rebuilt, with more NOS.

I'm surprised there was so much interest here. I thought I was the only one that was planning to see it.:rommie:

I love this movie franchise it fantastic .Have'nt been dissapointed yet .
Plus this one has the rock in it. it could only get better.

I do enjoy these movies a lot. I think what's got me most excited for this one is the potential for badassery that exists in a fight scene between Vin Diesel and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. If the rest of the movie sucks, I hope that one scene KICKS ASS.

Yeah Apparently most people from the series are in this.
Walker's partner in the second one is in it. (I am bad at remembering
I just saw it on TV. I didn't see any posters in the theatre when I went to see Battlefield Los Angeles, then again I wasn't paying attention.
I have seen the commercial twice now.

Just caught a TV ad for the UK release- they're retitled it here; instead of Fast 5 they're calling it Fast & Furious 5. Which is weird, since of course it should be either The Fast And The Furious 5, or Fast & Furious 2...

it's set between 4 and 3.

the timeline goes:
1
2
4
5
3

and the ad on the back of the new Empire (and a compo inside) called it 'The Fast and the Furious 5: Rio Heist'

i tihnk i'll stick with 'Fast Five'...

Should a Sixth film happen it MUST take place after Tokyo Drift. I don't know why they insisted on doing another TD prequel. Just to have Han? Just to have a nearly inclusive ensemble?

This is the first I've heard of the Rio Heist subtitle? It'll be the second movie with Rio in the title for April, at least in some outlets.

I plan to see it even though 1&4 are the only ones I've seen in theaters, but I do own them all.
