New DS9 Documentary

The ending to DS9 is the best in the whole franchise... because like life, some characters are moving on and some are staying put. It's a parting of the ways whichever way you look at it. It's only a theoretical exercise, but I wouldn't want to go through the high of a reunion, only to inevitably reach a new ending that suffers by comparison with the old one. I think we pretty much saw that after four Next Generation films.

Nah. The ending to DS9 of the best in the whole franchise.
I'll agree with you there - it was the most satisfying out of them all, TNG set up perfectly for transition to the Movies, VOY needed an extra 15/20 mins just to show them setting foot on Earth, ENT....the less said the better.

I suppose its because i'm such a huge DS9'er and I connected with those characters more than any of the other Series.

Can someone explain how the Indiegogo thing works? I.e. Does it take the money starightbaway and hold it till funding is met (best for budgeting a donation for me) or is it taken later? How does it work out for international donations as I am in U.K.? (This is my first time thinking about doing this....I think it will be made, and I really want to see it lo.)

This was a campaign I got behind. It also helps that I'm on a DS9 high right now, watching Season 5 and all. Looking forward to seeing the final product.

...Behr and his documentary team will dabble in a bit of wish fulfillment. Behr collected the original writers and had them come up with a “mythical Season 8, Episode 1,” something that will feature in some form in the film

This might be the most interesting part from the recent story.

Just donated. A worthy project. Really looking forward to this.

EDIT: Can't wait to get that Kira t-shirt! So cool. :bolian:

Gosh, I got goose bumps watching the video on Indiegogo. Defo contributing... not sure I can justify the cost of dinner with Nana Visitor though!!!

If money wasn't an issue I would love a dinner with Visitor. Then I can ask questions like what was it like Kicking ass while being very pregnant in Darkness and the Light. ;)

A new news article has been published at TrekToday:

Fundraising has just begun for What We Left Behind: Looking Back at Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and the campaign is already...

I love their new video! So nice to see them all together again. All of them look awesome, especially Nana and Terry. And Hana Hatae has grown up to be a beautiful woman, too.

I'd love to own that shirt. But unfortunately money's rather tight at the moment, so I can't contribute. :(

What I'd like to know, however, is since when is 'doco' a short form of 'documentary'? :p
