New DS9 Action Figures

Picked up some of the new Art Asylum produced DS9 action figures the other day.

Got Sisko, Odo, and Jadzia.

They look pretty good, IMO. Sisko even comes with a "Niners" cap and baseball.

Apparantly there is supossed to be an Ezri figure along with this first batch, but have yet to see her on the shelves hereabouts. (Although I've also heard that Ezri does not ship until January '08)

Hopefully these will sell well and we'll ge tthe rest of the cast at some point.

The only thing that really bugs me about the DS9 figures is that Odo comes with a Bajoran phaser rifle. Any DS9 fan would understand how wrong that is.

Well, there is that. Maybe he confiscated it from Quark.

Where did you find them? Traditionally, I find Art Asylum stuff hard to find.

Ezri is going to be hard to find. There are 8 figures to a case-4 Sisko, 3 Jadzia and only one Ezri. Odo comes in a case of his own as a Previews exclusive. Odo is a beautiful figure. They really captured his likeness.

Most of the retail stores don't carry them but you can order them here.

The next wave in 2008 will have Kira, O'Brien and Bashir.

FYE, Suncoast, Virgin & Tower will sometimes carry 'em. Maybe Hastings, if you're lucky...

Everyone else stopped carryin' 'em after the ST: Nemesis figures failed miserably.

I nabbed two Ezri's off of ebay before Xmas, so they are "out there."

I really don't care much for the likenesses...I ended up only buying Odo, as he's such a good 'un. Sisko and both Daxes were (to be polite) not to my taste.

And has there ever been an Odo where they didn't give him a gun? It's almost like a running joke now.

There was only one time I purchased an action figure -- it was Ezri Dax. Action figures are nice it is just not my personal taste.
