New content in Disney studios Japan trailer

A ton of BB-8, too. Guess they're hoping robot = popular in Japan.

But man that looks super cool. Love the x-wing nosecam shot. And Kylo threatening Rey with his lightsaber. And etc etc....

BB-8 is friggin adorable.

I will say: The "Apocalypse Now"-esque TIE shot? MAN! I am so sold on this movie now. It's at the very least visually going to be brilliant.

I can't get over how pretty this movie looks.

Well apparently the description for the trailer suggests pretty strongly that this is primarily Rey's story.

And judging by her accent, I'd say she's definitely related to Leia (or at least the Leia from the first movie). :)

And speaking of Leia, I really hope she won't just be stuck in that command center for the entire movie.

That was epic and she sounds so typically English it is rather funny.

The Ties coming from the setting sun was great.

Yes! That TIE fighter shot was gorgeous!

It kinda made me think of scenes in other movies/shows where you see a helicopter or gunship(s) coming out of the sunrise/sunset.

Blue Thunder, Airwolf, Firebirds, Rambo First Blood Part II.

Well so much for J.J saying "No more trailers"

What if Finn bites the dust? Who else could she be that sad about on the snow planet?
The more I look at it, the more I think it's Han. Or Chewie holding Han. There's a shoulder of a leather jacket in the left of the frame, and of course the fur in the right of the frame.

I would love if Han's death (presumably at Kylo Ren's hands) leads to Luke's reveal.

Maybe on that snow planet, Kylo kills Han, Finn gets pissed and uses the lightsaber but he's overwhelmed too because he's inexperienced, and Luke pops out of nowhere in a sort of "You think you're so bad, huh? Fight a real Jedi Master, bitch," moment.

Kylo's bitch-ass is totally outclassed, but he gets away.

I liked that trailer more than the last one. This seems to all but scream that Rey is a Skywalker/Solo. But what is she "waiting" for on Jakku??? Can't wait to find out! Some of the shots were just gorgeously cinematic.

Many of the trailers have gotten me pretty excited, but this one feels really epic.

The craziest part is when Kylo has his saber at Rey's head. First of all, the distortion it is giving off is crazy, and looks like it will burn even before the full blade hits (sarcastic quip-that's why he wears a mask). Secondly, Daisey Ridley is pretty convincing of being terrified of that blade. I mean, I buy in to her wide-eyed terror pretty solidly.

I am more and more convinced that Rey is Han and Leia's daughter. We know Fynn crashes his TIE on that dessert planet (forgot the name) and meets Rey. From all the trailers combined, we now know that a bunch of TIE will attack them, we see the settlement on that planet under attack and Fynn and Rey running from explosions. On that same planet we see the Falcon being chased by TIE's. The shot in an earlier trailer of Han saying 'Chewie, we're home' seems to imply he hasn't been on the Falcon in a while, so it's not he suddenly popped up with the Falcon. Implying that it was on the planet.

Now..... Family ties have been hinted and teased at by the production team. Even in a recent interview with Kathleen Kennedy (http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/we-can-expect-to-see-more-familiar-faces-in-star-wars-the-force-awakens-301), comments were made on how twins COULD run in the Skywalker family.

I'm saying, a bit similar to Yoda and Obi-Wan hiding the twins from the emperor and Vader, Han and Leia decided to hide Rey from some evil/destiny. Rey is aware of her parentage, and the Falcon was left behind if she ever needed a quick get-away from that planet. It's Fynn flying it during the chase, I think.

Anyway, my two cents.

I personally think that Rey is Luke's daughter. While I'm disagreeing with you, its well in the realm of possibility you are correct. I agree that she was put on Jakku to hid her. However I don't believe she is aware of the Falcon being on Jakku. She talks about waiting for her family and she wistfully watches the ship take off. If she could go at anytime, she would have.

She could be waiting for a sign before she could leave. And Jakku being attacked, while not a sign, made her think she has no choice.
And yes, Luke's daughter is also possible. And with the comments from Kennedy that twins could be possible.... Ren and Rey.....

The first thing I thought of when I saw the tie fighters silloetting the sun was it was a homage to The Lion King. Beautiful shot and my favorite shot so far.

Well. I think this trailer makes it pretty bleeding obvious why we've not been seeing Luke's smiling face in any of these things to date.

Isn't Kylo supposed to be of the Knights of Ren?

Yes, but where does it say you need to be born into them?

I don't know how to link to it but makingstarwars.net has posted a new 30 second TV spot with new footage and a longer voiceover. If you thought the shot of the TIE fighters at sunset was cool, wait 'til you see the final shot of the Millenium Falcon.

Agreed, lots of cool new stuff in that new spot. And it's starting to sound more and more like Nupita's character is Rey's own personal Yoda in this movie, with all the advice and wisdom she keeps putting out.

Yeah, Lupita's voice is heavily featured in every trailer! This is the biggest question of the movie for me. Is she some ancient Jedi that was in hiding all these years? Is she the opposite number of Snoke and not Luke? She certainly talks like she knows everything there is to know about the Force.

Rey smashing through those trees in the Falcon is pretty cool but the FX looks a bit ropey in the trailer. Hope they improve it for the movie.
