New companion speculation! (Lily Allen?!?!!?)

and I was suggesting that he would get fanboy criticism, I was just saying its to early to say what that will be.

Well he's already being criticised for his choice of Doctor, for being "too dark" and, in one instance I was privy to, "too Scottish".
Scottish? am I missing something?

anyways its to early for such criticism to have any meaning

Moffat is Scottish, as I'm sure you're aware. Someone on a shitty message board I frequent complained that the torch was passed from a Welshman to a Scotsman, forgoing anyone from the long stretch of flat land inbetween.

He didn't explain why this was a problem, despite my probing/taunting.

I fail to see why him being Scottish could be a problem, if RTDs has problems I dont think they are down to the fact he was Welsh, other than him featuring Cardiff more than other producers would.

I quite liked the fact that a lot of his stuff has been Cardiff-centric. Makes a change from London, LA and New York - television's default landscape. But I'm from south wales originally so I guess I'm biased.

Although I'll be the first to admit that Cardiff and Swansea are shitheaps.

I dont disagree its nice to see citys that are not LA, London & NY, but there are other cities in the UK the Daleks could destroy, Peterborough for one.

Edinburgh first.

Oh and Fife. Not a city as such, but I want to see it leveled by Daleks. And Montrose. I bet very few of you have heard of Montrose. I want to see it flattened so I can fantasise about never having to visit my in laws again.

That's the stupidest thing I've heard Moffat derided for! Hey at least the Doctor is English this time, that guy must be happy at that surely? Heck we're all British aren't we?

Apart from those of us who aren't obviously :p

The only Scotsman I want out of a job is the one at Number 10!

From what very little I know about Lily Allen from these shores she seems cute, funny, and has trouble not showing her breasts in public. All of those work for me.

Maybe they could have her be a space rocker or something, I don't know, I don't really want to see another modern city girl for the audience to relate too. Actually, Donna Noble was a bit of a departure, hopefully they don't brainwipe the next companion.

im not keen on her at all, I dont even think she is cute, and all her songs make me want to do is switch off the radio, I really can not stress enough how much I dont like her, and how much I am against her being cast.

Well seeing as you just called my place a shitheap, I hope a future episode grants your desire of levelling Fife Montrose... along with the rest of your stupid country :techman:

Hey, I was born and half-raised in Swansea. Which means I'm entitled to call Swansea a shitheap and contractually obliged to slag off Cardiff. Don't hate the player, hate the game. :D

We have mute buttons here too :p

I doubt that, sir. I have it on good authority that electricity is viewed as a special kind of "magic" in Wales, and that paper and vowels have recently been introduced into the culture. So, please leave your fantasy versions of "mute buttons" to the realm of an RTD Christmas episode written while huffing paint, thankyouverymuch......some people...

It's true, I can't deny it. But I live in Scotland now, where it's regarded as an enemy.
this is turning into a typical Mock the Week slag off the Scottish, Irish, Welsh & English affair.

BTW if we have Dara o'Briain can we also have Konnie Huq?
