New books on amazon

I’m not to sure what spoilers you are talking about. If it’s Picard’s storyline, ever since “Control” and “Hearts and Minds” we’ve known that Picard would eventually have to ‘face the music’.

I'm so glad we finally got some book news about Collateral damage. I've been looking forward to getting this book. And I'm curious about the other books and who the authors are too.:bolian::vulcan::biggrin::beer:

I have the opposite opinion :)

You are done with the prime line stories?
Not all, I'd just like to get more Myriad Universes books, and I'm hoping they'll take advantage of having access to the Kelvinverse to give us some novels in that universe.
From comments made it earlier threads it sound like the original unreleased Kelvin novels might not line up with Into Darkness and Beyond, so I doubt we'll see those specific Kelinverse books.

Seems like the Kevlin Timeline tie-ins never really came into their own and with the future of it in doubt, I'd be kinda surprised if we got more from it.

Yes, but this reads to me like revealing where things will end up at the end of the novel next month. Trying to be as non specific as possible.

I wouldn't go entirely by Amazon when it comes to this stuff, it's very unreliable.

David Mack’s new Next Gen novel is up on Amazon. Looks like spoilers to me in the solicitation info.

There are also two other books that look like they will be announced soon:

https://www.amazon.com/Untitled-STV-Be-Confirmed-Gallery/dp/1501138839

Really looking forward to David Mack's continuation of the Section 31/Control storyline, but a bit disappointed about the existence of a B plot.

Would like it more if the whole novel would be just about the repercussions of what had happened with Section 31 and Control.

They're continuing a storyline that's incompatible with current ongoing TV Trek? That's a first, I believe.

Not really, they're just exploring fallout from the exposure of Section 31's files and the implications that has for Picard. Who knows, perhaps this could be setting up something for the Picard show?

And really there are workarounds for reconciling Disco's Control with Control of the novels.

I didn't see it on Amazon but on Memory Alpha I saw in the to be announced section that there is a listing for "Academy: Third Class" by William Shatner and the Reeves-Stevens. I wonder if this is a long awaited follow up to the previous Academy book they wrote.

The whole "novel-verse" continuity of modern Trek fiction includes installments that contradict canon but are still part of the series. There is practically no consistency between the novels and other tie-in mediums. Makes sense, given how much IDIC there is in it all.

Would they be seeding stuff like that in a random novel? This isn't Star Wars, where that kind of stuff has close ties to everything.

Seems to be so. Wonder why the long delay and if there's still a market for the Shatner-verse?

Yeah, I'm not sure. Maybe they feel with Discovery doing so well a novel that takes place around roughly the same time frame will sell. They might try to tie it in a bit with the Discovery universe, much like some previous Shatnerverse novels tied into TNG and DS9 (though it was apart from the rest of the novelverse).
