I had another idea last night for this contest. It was going to be about films that turn unexectedly for the better or worse, where you go in expecting one thing and wound up thinking that it was quite a different film than what you expected. I was thinking of (at least according to my memory) Babaganoosh's story about his love for Transformers despite the fact that he went into the film knowing next to nothing and perhaps expecting less. However, it occurred to me that there is a new Transformers film out, and it may be the biggest hit of the summer. I've always loved this franchise, and not just for its gimmick or concept, but the way it's characters have also become icons. Prime is one of the most heroric characters in all modern sci fi, for example, and that comes across in how he's written and how Cullen has pl;ayed him from the onset....

Anyway, I thought it would be cool to play tribute to this franchise as well other franchises where robots play a truely active rold in the chaos and mayhem. So the usual 140 x 140 rules apply and all those who know how to make animated pictures know the limits. Anyway I'm thinking the contest period for entries will end in just over a week, NEXT Wednesday just in time to see who will win before we all get our asses back to the theater to see Prime, Bumblebee and the rest kick some major ass!

Oh Cyborgs count too, the more badass the better!

Second thought, Robert Patrick in Terminator 2 -

Thinkin' about it, but I don't want to step on any toes, ya know?

And it was the "liquid metal" effects from T2 that led to Odo on DS9.
