federation = / = klingon empireI can't imagine all the races in the Federation looking at each other as potential food sources because they come from different planets. They're all humanoid at the end of the day. The ones we've seen anyway.
Look he is awesome!!!Man, they really HATE eyebrows on aliens in this show, don't they?
The Andorian looks fine! I'd prefer it if he had eyebrows, but those extra antennas look nifty, too! He looks a lot more slug-like. Only complaint would be the amount of make-up in his face - like the klingons, I fear it's just too much to actually act behind. Which would lead to fewer Andorian screen time. And this is a damn well re-design! I would like to see more. The color is spot on, looks in line with what came before, is a little updated, overall well done!
The Tellarite not so much though. Looks like an unnecessary grim'n'gritty overhaul of a familiar race. Not a fan of the fangs, and I think with a little more hair, he would look much nicer. Also: HE'S CLEARLY TOO TALL. Tellarites need to be played by little people!
Overall I probably prefer the ENT-look in both cases. But it's a worthy re-design, the Andorian actually a great one! If only the had put as much care into the klingons... Let's hope this is the quality DIS' alien make-up will have from now on!

the blue eyesNice! Haven't yet seen the episode yet, but I hope we see a lot more Andorians on the show!
...based on their latest appereance on ENT...
You know, we had other Trek since TOS, in which many species (like Klingons, Romulans, and, yes, Tellarites) developed a look that is a tiny little bit more modern than the 60's.
Maybe they don’t move as much when extreme stress is at play?4/10 antennae did not move enough
Ok, you and I have different definitions of "little people" then.Yes! That's what I meant! Thank you!
The Tellarites (well, at least the speaking roles...) have always been a head shorter than the average human. The same way the Nausicaans on TNG/DS9/VOY are traditionally a head-lenght taller.
No idea if they kept that on DIS. Again, haven't seen the episode yet. But I do hope so!
The answer is obviousSo why did the Andorian talk with a Goa'uld voice?
Hmmm...avatar makes me suspicious. So why did the Andorian talk with a Goa'uld voice?
