Never seen TAS scenes...as live-action...

This was in the Arts forum as part of my TAS shuttlecraft builds, but these few images I thought I'd share here.

Fine work--the Aquashuttle really takes on a new life.

I wonder how you would handle the Orion pirate ship...

I'd have to really study it. In my opinion you can't simply take a roughly drawn animation design and translate directly into the "real" world and expect it to look credible. You have to adapt and tweak it. With the TAS shuttlecraft I strived to retain the essential concept and general overall look while massaging the designs into something more believable in appearance and size.

That Orion ship is a mess. I've tried drawing schematics of it and gave up. I had trouble getting the views to match. Also, the ship looks OK from a few angles (the ones in the episode) but looks clunky from others.

Just recently watched these episodes. Fascinating cool the pictures you posted here!

(and I noticed you went for the TOS EVA space suits instead of the TAS life support belts :D)

Sort of like what they did with remastered TOS I guess, as in making some of the cargo ships/freighters look like their TAS designs.

Nice work on these, though Uhura looks a bit flat-chested in the skin tight spacesuit. ;)

In the pic on the asteroid, the shuttle nacelles look like they're too far back.

Otherwise, great work. :techman:
