Netflix Downloads

All of Star Trek is now available for downloading and offline viewing in the US on cell phones and tablets. Should be great for those with long commutes and airplane rides!

The series, yes, but most of the movies are no longer on Netflix the last time I looked.

Very cool. I presume the downloads expire if you cancel your Netflix subscription.

It looks like it's a global thing (well in the sense of where Netflix is available) and not just available in the States.

That would be a safe assumption given you're not buying the episodes and only "renting" them because of the subscription model they use.

the episodes only work for 48 hours I believe.

And yes, it works outside of the US, I was downloading episodes here in Canada.

Looks like my binge of Enterprise won't be impacted by staying in a wifi-less B&B next week then!
