Netflix and AMC have signed a $500 million licensing deal for The Walking Dead universe.

The global addition of spin-offs to Netflix will depend on when the international licenses for these shows expire. Considering that Fear the Walking Dead, World Beyond, and Tales of the Walking Dead have already ended, they will likely be added first in 2027. Other shows are also gradually ending, and their licenses will expire later.

TWD certainly is Zombie-like at this point as AMC just won't let it die. ;)
ANd the latest 2 series seem to be because several popular actors in TWD can't seem to get any lasting new characters in other shows or movies. I mean, the actors are good, and DESERVE to be in something new and good.... but they seem to be stuck, and AMC is the only one seemingly to give them a regular paycheck.

Netflux, at this point in time, is CRAZY to spend $500 on the Walking Dead. UNless the rest of the world didn't have access to it before, it seems like there's little value in it nowadays. I know the same could have been said for Manifest, and Netflix made it popular enough to get a 4th and final season, but still....

I lost all interest in TWD some time around the 7th or 8th season of the original... Haven't had the slightest desire to watch any of the rest or even if reruns were on...nada.

While I agree with your first point, the second one isn't quite accurate. The US is already the biggest exporter of shows to the world; the original *TWD* aired on TV channels here for years, and it is now available on Netflix globally. *Fear the Walking Dead* aired on TV channels in many countries for years and was subsequently released worldwide on Prime Video. Current shows are also being broadcast on local platforms and TV channels across the globe.
