NES Classics

Ultima IV- 130+ hours invested(it had a timer).

Nobunaga's Ambition - oh, God, I had forgotten about this. I had so many games under my belt. Seriously must have played at least 10 to completion(winning) and 20-30 to the bitter end(losing)-at who knows how many hours each. Probably best not to think about it...:shifty:

Or, if you have absolutely no taste in videogames, Legend of Zelda 2?

Hey don't knock Zelda 2, I spent many an hour on that game. :p

My all-time favorite is probably Punch-Out, but I was also a big fan of Zelda, Metroid, Contra, Life Force, Wizard and Warriors, Dragon Warrior, Mario 3, probably lots of others ...

^^
Lol, I remember too many sore thumbs spent trying to out-punch King Hippo. I never could really get into the original Metroid (although I really liked Fusion).

Same. I loved Zelda II. A little rough around the edges, but still a great game.

Adventure Island
Bubble Bobble
Castlevania 1 & 3
Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers 1 & 2
Contra
Darkwing Duck
Double Dragon 1 & 2
Dragon Warrior IV
Duck Tales 1 & 2
Faxanadu
Gargoyle's Quest II
Guardian Legend
Journey to Silius
Legend of Zelda I & 2
Megaman 1-6
Ninja Gaiden 1 & 2
Rygar
Rad Racer
Super Mario Bros. 1, 2, 3 & LL

Rather than listing those games that I couldn't stop playing, I'm going to list my top 10 favorite NES games of all time:
Bionic Commando
Legacy of the Wizard
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Legendary Wings
Star Tropics
Bubble Bobble
Double Dragon 2
A Boy and His Blob
Mega Man 3
The Guardian Legend

Edit: Glad to see somebody mention Faxanadu and Rygar, since they are games that not a lot of people seem to remember, but that my friends and I had a whole lot of fun playing.

Got an NES for my 7th birthday. My parents got it used (from the family of someone my grandmother knew), but it came with a crapload of stuff. In addition to the system itself and the two controllers, it also came with a bunch of games, the NES Advantage controller, and several issues of Nintendo Power. Unfortunately, almost all of the games are now gone (long story), and only one issue of those Nintendo Powers still exists intact (March/April 1989, with a dude dressed as Ryu Hyabusa on the cover).

Anyway, played the thing like crazy, and got a few more games throughout the years. Here are all the games I ever owned (* denotes an often played game, :techman: denotes awesomeness):

Adventures in the Magic Kingdom
Blades of Steel *
Bugs Bunny's Crazy Castle
Cobra Command
Contra ** :techman::techman::techman: (Up, Up, Down, Down... ;) )
DuckTales ** :techman:
Kid Icarus
The Legend of Zelda :techman:
Mike Tyson's Punch Out!
Ninja Gaiden
Pro Wrestling *
RBI Baseball ** :techman:
Ring King
Super Mario Bros. * :techman:
Super Mario Bros. 2 *
Super Mario Bros. 3 * :techman::techman:
T&C Surf Designs
Tecmo Bowl

Bubble Bath Babes
Kings Knight (a pre-FF RPG by Square that shows why there was a "Final" in Final Fantasy)
and Tiny Toon Adventures, Busters Theme park Adventure (or something like that)

There are so many obvious picks, so I'll mention three of my favourite 'obscure' games:

Metal Storm
Power Blade
The Adventures Of Rad Gravity

Final Fantasy, Zelda (1) Tetris, Metroid, Kid Icarus, Bubble Bobble, Ice Climber, Duck Tales, Blades of Steel... the list can go on and on.

Edit: Glad to see somebody mention Faxanadu and Rygar, since they are games that not a lot of people seem to remember, but that my friends and I had a whole lot of fun playing.

I played em both, beat em both, but they werent favorites.
