nero's subplot *spoilers*

Would it have been better if they had left in Nero's subplot? I can kinda see why they took it out, would have slowed down the movie. But it would have explained what he'd been up to the last 25 years. I guess it had something to do with him being on the klingon prison planet. Uhura mentions a klingon prison planet, and warbirds being destroyed.

It's good that they took it out. The pacing right now is excellent and any significant changes would have just screwed it up.

I dont know everything about it, but im figuring it would have dealt with what Nero was up to during those 25 years waiting for spock. There are scenes from the trailers, with Nero being manhandled by Klingon prison guards.

And what of the Narada during those years?

Nobody knows... However, I'd like to think they'd accidentally leave technical specifications and plans behind on several Romulan colonies, all the while staying completely in the shadows...
