Nemesis - Love that dialoge

This episode never gets talked about but I watched it last night and it still remains one of my favorite episode of Season 4 and probably my second favorite Chakotay episode. There were so many things I loved, from the twists of the beasts really being the good guys, to the whole simulation thing, but what I really loved was the dialoge. Fathom, nullified, the soon after, all this stuff actually felt really alien and really awesome. It's not all the time we meet an alien race in Trek that actually feels Alien, but these people did because of the way they talked.

Anyone else love this episode. I typically do searches on episodes I see to see what people said about them (Nice thread back in may about Repression by the way) but this one came up almost nothing. That's a shame because I think it's one of Voyager's best episodes, or at least very very good episodes.

It was a very good episode. It showed the power of brainwashing and how it can take control of a person and change them completely. I liked the way they talked as well. It was a good episode for Chakotay.

I always loved the surprise ending. Partly the same as "A Matter of Perspective" almost, and yet not. You really feel for those people, and then to have it all be fake, and yeah. Loved it!

That was one thing I greatly enjoyed. The idea that each of the people could see each other as the nemesis. It was all a great show on the power of brainwashing

I'm not too fond of episodes that are entirely about being on a planet. It's the space stuff I like, so while I am currently watching the entire series in order, that is the only episode I skipped because it just didn't capture my attention like all the rest.

This race was truly original and the speech was cool. Too bad we had more of the Kazons and less of truly original "human"-type species. Sometimes I think Earth had more diversity than the DQ. I invite SF writers to come live in China for a while to get a feel for something alien. Scorpion on a stick, anyone? How about laughing at an accident? Calling courage a vice? Some truly alien stuff right on this planet if writers can leave southern cali once in a while.

I didn't love this episode..but it was a good episode just because the ending sent me goosebumps. When Chakotay said to Janeway: "I wish it were easy to stop hating as it was to start" my mouth just dropped. And I did like the dialogue in the episode. There was one guy on there that used to be on Avonlea as Gus Pike: Micheal something..I really was glad to see him!
