Nemesis deleted scenes

I had never seen the scene in sickbay where they are handing out phasers, thank you.

:)

I stumbled across those scenes on my Blu-ray.

They were on the blue-ray edition???? I gotta get me a blue-ray player...darn!!!

Yes, the original DVD had 6-7 scenes--the Blu-ray had the original deleted scenes PLUS 6 or 7 more. Later DVDs releases may have included all the scenes but I don't know that for sure.

Blu-ray players will be starting at $50 this holiday season--i think it's not a huge expense for a major upgrade in quality/features.

So the rumors of a possible 45 minutes being cut from the film might actually be true, that's interesting.

I have the bluray versions of the movies, but never watched the deleted scenes. I thought they were all the same from the dvds. Guess I got some watching to do. I have never seen a couple of those nemesis scenes before.

I think it's interesting that Baird says that he "had" to cut the second rape scene and then corrects himself. I enjoyed listening to him talking about it, about the camera angles and so forth.

I believe these deleted scenes were all on the second, two disc, DVD release.

More and more it shows how Baird mishandled the material and it makes you think what would/could have happened with a different director.

The story is still a bit wobbly but somewhere in there is a better movie trying to get out.

I'd blame Paramount rather than Baird, they wanted a shorter movie to try and more money. And the scenes that were cut from what I saw were some good character scenes but really advance the plot too much.

There were some nice character moments in Nemesis that hit the floor. All taken together they show a nice bond of friendship and comradeship between the crew. I especially like the scenes between Picard and Beverly. The sickbay scene (which I hadn't seen before) reminds me of Picard touring the Ent before the encounter with the Borg where he talks to Guinan.
