What they call "The Hockey Theme" I thought was more precisely called the "Hockey Night in Canada Theme"
I think it sounded rather goofy as it was all drum based. It didn't sound right to be all about the drums as it should be more about the main melody or whatever it's called.

^The Hockey Theme is indeed the name. It is now the theme song to TSN's hockey coverage. The contract on the song was up and the CBC couldn't justify the $500,000 or so asking price the writer was asking for.

I still think it was just too busy with the drums. I don't know anything about music , but it feels like he was playing way too many beats in a given amount of time, like he was tring to get as much drumming in as possible.
