Need info on ENT novel THE EXPANSE...

Hi gang! New here; first post!

I collect all the Enterprise novels, and prefer them all to be in the mass market (small paperback) format. But the only one I haven't been able to find in mass market is THE EXPANSE.

I've seen some used copies online LISTED as mass market, but I think it may've just been a mistake.

Can anyone show me irrevocable proof via a photo that a mass market edition exists? I'm beginning to think it never went to a mass market printing.

Thank you all! :)

My copy of the Enterprise novel of the Expanse by J.M. Dillard is a trade paperback. I've never saw it as a mass market printing of this book at the bookstore when it first came out.Memory alpha is a good place to find out about older star trek books.

As far as I’m aware, it was never released in mass market in North America. Maybe overseas, but it had already been downgraded from a hardcover release (ss per the copyright page)

In general, I think it has been pretty rare for Pocket to rerelease TPBs as MMPBs.

(I hear you on the consistency thing, though. Because most of my Star Wars novels were MMPBs, I refused to buy The Clone Wars tie-in novels in TPB, but that meant I had to import the MMPBs from the UK.)

I'd even get a foreign edition if it was mass market. I have seen a version with a photo cover online, but it was difficult to determine the size. In my estimation, this is the ONLY Enterprise novel NOT in mass market, unless I just can't FIND it... I figured if it exists, SOMEONE HERE would own it, and given the lack of proof displayed, I'm starting to think it either does not exist or only exists in that size in the UK.

Ah, a fellow OCD collector like myself. :) Nice to find others!

I can only think of four: SNW1, SNW2, NF: Treason, and NF: Blind Man's Bluff.

Normally I have that same bugaboo, but if it means longer-lasting books due to the acid free paper I'm willing to tolerate it.

There was also “Enterprise Romulan War: Beneath The Raptor’s Wing” that was issued in Trade and the Mass-Market. Plus the 2009 Star Trek was in Trade and MMP.

Lives of Dax got reissued as a MMP just after the DS9 relaunch got started. I think part of the reason for it was that some of the stories tied in with the relaunch.
