Need help with finding episode involving spacedwelling lifeforms...

So, my girlfriend seems to recall an episode of one of the shows involving a spacedwelling lifeform that needed sunlight to live.

Thing is, I got a pretty good recall for stuff like this, and I can't remember the episode. However, it also sounds incredibly familiar. Can anyone help us out? Is it from a Star Trek show? Is it from a different scifi show and are we mixing things up?

Thanks for the help Asbo, but those two aren't it. We've been googling aswell, and we're thinking right now that she mixed up the episode Q-Less from DS9 with something else.

Outside Trek, I can think of a few stories that have lifeforms that require light -- Delvians such as Zotoh Zhaan from Farscape, the Greenfly in the Revelation Space series by Alastair Reynolds, and genetically augmented humans in the Knights of Sidonia anime. Only the Greenfly are space dwelling and they're really terraforming nanomachines that have gone rogue.

Yeah, we thought about that one as well, but she was mixing up the Bajoran solar sail ship with the creature from Q-Less because it shined like a sun.
