Need a name for her

REB_Studios

Ensign
Newbie
Have shelved a lot of projects due to Rl work.. but decided to have a play about with Wings over the past week.. No real direction, just pushing and pulling polygons, and this was the result.
She was envisioned as a small 30-40 ish crew compliment.. A small science vessel (Sort of) but could use some feedback on her.

Thoughts??
wings previews, and a final beautyshot render from various angles

The words that come to my mind are things like Concorde, Cyril, Covenant... Also, it looks pretty similar to the Excelsior.

TOS Movie or TNG era? The component shapes and sculpting look very TNG but the connection members - neck and pylons - look very TOS Movie.

Your nacelles are sagging:p. USS Stroud, or maybe the USS Leehi, or maybe USS Remilles?

U.S.S. Funky!

U.S.S. Whupass!

Or perhaps...

U.S.S. Shania -- she's a curvaceous little ship!

The Jackal.

Looks like it should have more than 50 on its crew judging from the windows. It looks cool.

The nacelles and the nav deflector are rather spoiling it for me. The nacelles do indeed look like they're sagging, like two large bananas on twigs. If either the top or bottom line was straight you'd get away with it, it would look like a power bulge rather than a sag. The Nav deflector looks too small as well, the empty area above makes the secondary hull look like a bottom feeding fish.

I have to say though, it's probably the best model I've seen made in Wings. Well done.

Crits taken onboard regarding the Nacells etc...Not everyones cup of tea i admit.. but it is my design good or bad
I have known your Trek meshes and stuff for what must be ages (I think?)... Well at least from when I first got into this CGI cr*p..... circa 2001 ish.
Always Loved your trek based and other stuff (Space1999 etc)..
And that last comment regarding my wings model and wings in general has really made my day..
Thnx!!

I really like it! It seems like it could slide in almost anywhere in the Trek timeline

I'll throw my hat into the ring with U.S.S. Marconi
