Nebula class schematic

Yay! LCARS 24, thanks for the new MSDs! I see them in another thread now. Could not access the Luna-class MSD, though; try another link, if you please.

Whoa-ho, there we are!

Question...do we still consider the Bridge to be Deck 01? Or is the first deck up in the photorp launcher?

Good stuff, Bill!:)

Keep adding more:

That's so cool I just put on an extra sweater.

Two questions, though. Does the model really have the bow openings appropriate for twin forward torpedo launchers? I thought there was only one opening there, and even this might have been altered or faired over in Chakotay's/Eddington's ship, as opposed to the original Lieutenant Ro vessel. Also, why two honking big computer cores, on what looks like a relatively utilitarian vessel upgunned by the insurgents? One would assume minimal computing facilities both in the original (freighter?) and the Maquis version.

Love what you have done with the interiors! And the sensor cluster on ventral stern is pretty as a pixie.

Yes, Timo, I guess I should make that three probe\torp launchers, one forward and two aft. That's what the exterior shots seem to indicate. About the two computer cores, I was thinking one main and one engineering, but maybe it should be only one. And yes, this is all with Chakotay's ship in mind, different size and different windows.

A regular contributor to my LCARS 24 library did most of the work on this. He had made a drawing and agreed to modify it to LCARS 24 colors and let me touch it up. He's also a moderator on Joe Ralat's Okudagrams forum http://www.joseralat.com/forum/index.php.

Very nice. I do agree that one computer core should probably suffice. The one thing that did give me pause was the cloaking device, but then if it's not a Starfleet ship, why shouldn't they have been able to get a hold of an old Klingon cloak?

Well, the Klingons did admit they gave the Maquis some cloaks that Eddington then boasts about in "Blaze of Glory". Since they didn't go to the nonexistent missiles, they no doubt went into the ships. But Chakotay's ship wouldn't have received a cloak from that batch yet.

Then again, if Quark could fence commercial cloaks in peacetime and steal them from Klingons in wartime, the Maquis probably wouldn't have had much trouble there.

Ah, I thought I vaguely remembered such a reference.

The impulse engines might be another target of critique. When they are up and running, there is no glow in the upper and lower tilted grilles at which the nozzles in this cutout are aimed. The red glow is all on the sides of the engine clumps, in the form of narrow horizontal stripes.

But we could say that the exhaust does come through the grilles, only the grilles hide the glow for better stealth or for some other reason - and the red glow is either unrelated to impulse drive, or then the product of the field generators that provide the subspace field associated with impulse drive. Subspace sources do tend to glow, often in blue but sometimes in other colors as well. And not every ship need have its glowing bits and exhaust nozzles in the exact same spot.

Indeed, often the red-glowing bits of Starfleet ships look like they couldn't be exhaust nozzles, because they don't point in any rational direction, or are blocked by parts of the ship. Perhaps the glow (which doesn't go away when the ships stop) is indeed unrelated to exhaust.

I changed the number of probe/torp launchers to three and made "computer core" singular. This is not specifically Chakotay's ship, just a typical vessel of this class in that configuration used by the Maquis, some equipped with cloaking devices. I showed a Borg transwarp coil on the Delta Flyer MSD, even though it didn't have one for long.

The Luna class is coming along nicely.

I was looking at your nebula class design, which is pretty good i'd say, but how do you eject the warp core? It's blocked by a number of decks. Also, you wouldn't need to store any dilithium because federation ships can recrystalize dilithium inside the chamber.

also, you're aft shuttle bay in the 2ndary hull needs to be moved down a deck or two...
