Nearly twenty unused "Dark Knight" posters

Wow, those are cool, but I wish I could get them as individual images as oppose to a collage.

I gotta say...I don't like many of them...I guess they remind me of The Matrix Reloaded posters a little too much (plus the images of Dent and Joker on the "Everyone Wears A Mask" poster look terrible).
Were these legit posters being considered by WB or just fan-made (Tomasz Opasinski being the fan)? Reason I ask is because a few of them have the title listed as "Batman: The Dark Knight" and I don't remember seeing the film's title referred as that ever. Also, none of them have the blue hue that was present not only on all the other posters, but in the film as well.

Interesting... but I can see why they weren't used. Many of them seem "off", a little too staged, too bright, strange light, etc etc.
They were legitimate posters that were being considered by Warner Bros., much like Batman Begins had many posters that ended up being unused (but were found on the film's DVD).
Can't say I really care for them compared to what we actually got which were uniformly fantastic. It comes across as being made by someone with a bit of a hard-on for using Photoshop filters.
Some of those are really cool. I like the top one a lot. The font, especially. It's the only thing about the Nolan films I've never been fond of; the bland title font.
That said, I can see why many of them where rejected. Many do not have the same flare as what was used. Though a few are good - the third row, first three Joker ones are nice.

I was about to say the same thing. Interesting posters, but I like what we got much better.
That's about it. They're all close, and some of the ideas are great, but there's something that's not quite there. Which, apparently, is why the do so many to choose so few.
I agree most of the posters here kinda suck. The only DK posters I really like are the three faces (each with their 'item' and the joker poster with ledger looking at us and its tilted.
We can't really speculate that much though. These could be nothing more than (fairly finalized) mock-ups. It could also be a situation where the artist was told to come up with certain number of concepts but he really only wanted to push a couple. Like Jefferies and that large, full-colour sketch of the Enterprise.
