NCIS: Real was a decent episode. Nothing fancy, predictable, but entertaining nonetheless. Gibbs must run pretty fast through the desert!

As for NCIS: LA, I see no reason to tune in again.

The NCIS opener was good, though I got bored with all the talk-talk-talk between Tony & his captor. Things did pick up towards the end, though I too wondered how Gibbs managed to get from his sniper position to the bunker in mere seconds. Strangely, I liked Ziva's look when they all returned to the office at the end -- you know, that tousled, I've-been-tortured-for-weeks look. :D (And what the hell was up with Tony's hair in this episode?? It looked weird.)

As for NCIS: LA, I didn't watch it and really have no interest in doing so. I flipped over to it during commercials, and I thought Linda Hunt was pretty interesting, but otherwise, blah. NCIS is a show that doesn't need to be branded multiple times like Law & Order.

NCIS was entertaining as always.

I just hope they get rid of that spin-off ASAP. Just give Linda Hunt her own show and retcon the rest of that crap out of existance.

And here I was thinking they'd go for the lawyer/cop/doctor trifecta and do a spinoff about Navy doctors at the National Naval Medical Center (aka the Bethesda Naval Hospital).

Okay, not really. :p

But Alex O'Loughlin was briefly rumored to be starring in the NCIS spinoff (if I remember right), and he ended up being the star of a new medical drama (Three Rivers) instead. I'm surprised someone at CBS didn't make the same connection.

Navy cafeteria cooks who sometimes have to go undercover to stop terrorist threats domestic and abroad.

NCIS was good, as usual.

NCIS: LA - still can't warm up to them.

But then....if I've said it once, I've said it a million times in these threads: the best thing about NCIS is the cast/character chemistry. That and the humor are what make that show special. And the chemistry is going to be EXTREMELY tough to duplicate.....and not even much within the showrunner's power. That kind of chemistry doesn't come along every day.....with NCIS they got lucky when they cast the show. But I think it would be near-impossible to get that lucky again.

The riviting storylines are NOT what keep fans coming back to NCIS. It's the chemistry between the characters on the show...and the actors who play them.

Without the chemistry (and granted, the humor), this would be just another police procedural that I turned off YEARS ago.

I give the NCIS: LA an above average. I'm still a couple of seasons behind on NCIS. I need to get caught up.

Well, it took some time for the original show to find it's legs to - and it really didn't hit the big time ratings until recently. I wouldn't drop a show after one episode unless it really rubbed me the wrong way.

TrekBBS is all about hating stuff. Get used to it. :)

Kind of slow, up to the end, but at least they undid the pointless cliffhanger quickly this year.

Liked the sniper bit. Thought it was kind of stupid that Gibbs got into the bunker (on the other side no less) in less than 20 seconds, but what the heck.

I'm kind of wishing Ziva would go away now. Turning her into some pathetic little girl who went on a suicide mission just because daddy doesn't love her enough made me like her a lot less.

I didn't catch the "fourth member is dead" thing. It is interesting.

Maybe they saved Ziva so she can go away in a couple of episodes? Kind of like when Elle recovered on Criminal Minds just to go nuts and leave after the new season started?

I'm not watching LA. It does nothing for me.

I wouldn't have minded a bit if Ziva had never come back after last season. She is, by far, my least favorite character. Honestly, I think the show would be fine with just Gibbs, DiNozzo, and McGee as the field team (the show started with just three investigators before McGee joined, after all), but then Abby would be the only female regular on the show.

Oh well, I guess they'd just have to increase Abby's screen time, then. :D

Just finished watching NCIS about 5 minutes ago. It was pretty good but not their best work. I'm hoping that they throw in a few twists this year to freshen up the show. They seem to be pretty predictable, maybe if they made McGee a bad ass this season. ;)

Well, back when they had three agents in the field team they still had a female member and I think that a lot of the dynamic comes from having a female member on that team.
