Gibbs is forced to dig into the past when a murder of a Marine and his two friends turns out to be linked to his team. Meanwhile, Gibbs faces a tough challenge as he holds Ziva's fate in his hands.

As the team is working the murder of a drug dealer, the caseh ends up being personal for one of the team members.

NCIS: Average. It wasn't a great episode (no WOWs here) but there was a very nice scene with Gibbs and Ziva toward the end... :)

NCIS: LA: I'm thinking of taping it from now on and just watching Linda Hunt's scenes. :p

Strangely I forgot about both of them. I'm watching The Good Wife though... I actually liked it.

God ep of NCIS last night. Solid character scenes, especially the Ziva/Abby and Ziva/Gibbs stuff. Also, nice to see them doing crime stuff again versus the sooper secret agent stuff.

Not paying attention to NCIS/LA, so couldn't tell you anything there.

The changes made to NCIS:LA have ruined the show.

You mean like the super secret undercover unit has a rookie so green its hard to believe he has even seen a cop show much less gone through Federal Agent school.

Or Macy vanishing without a word (though after seeing the finished product, who can blame Louise Lombard) or the change in tone from serious to...Night Rider. It also seems like the actors are less than pleased and phoning it in.

I liked most of the character scenes in NCIS last night, but the final scene with Gibbs and Ziva's "You're like my father" speech went a bit over the top. I'm glad that Tony and Ziva turned the page though.

NCIS LA is beyond useless for me. Daniela Ruah's hotness alone cannot entice me to watch it.

So the reset button has taken effect on NCIS and I suppose it's not a big deal. It's what people want, so there you go.

I should like LA more because it's more about the cases than random crap, but I can't get behind the undercover Navy cop thing. It just seems so ridiculous. Why can't we just have dudes who are crime scene investigators doing their job?

I found it funny that someone mentioned a JAG though. I find it kind of funny imagining the JAG characters running around in the background as all these wacky things happen to the NCIS characters.

"Gibbs, after watching Flashdance, I can never take my father seriously again."

Funny I agree. Seeing as NCIS was spunoff of JAG in the first place. You would think that at least one of the sailors or marines that Gibbs' has in his box would ask for his lawyer? Why does NCIS have an agent and not a JAG lawyer as their legal specalist anyway?

Because they want you to forget that JAG exists, I suppose.
Although I suppose technically JAGs are military officers while NCIS agents are civilians, so maybe they aren't tasked to work together or something.
God knows you can't have anyone in a military uniform on an NCIS show though. That seems to be the unwritten rule now. :p

Not forget. I suppose that is why instead of announceing themselves as police or federal agent when approaching an armed bad guy they give the confusing yell NCIS! Or on other shows Las Vegas Crime Lab! I think Jack Bauer even went with the CTU!, instead of federal agent yell.

NCIS was great when it was just focusing on the investigation. Gibbs, McGee, and DiNozzo are perfectly fine on their own; the stuff they did have Ziva help with could have been figured out just as easily without her. It got less good when the focus shifted to Ziva's storyline, though her scene with Abby was nice (only because of Abby).

And now she's back. Hooray. Hopefully since Vance was talking about how she was the Mossad liaison and now she no longer has a relationship with Mossad, Ziva's no longer the liaison and is just an ordinary NCIS agent.

NCIS:LA was decent, and I really do enjoy the banter between Callen and Sam, but I don't understand why this has to be some fancy special unit based in a city with no Navy presence instead of a normal NCIS team based in the more logical San Diego.

Just think of the possibilities of an NCIS, 24 and The Mentalist crossover. They'll stop the bad guys with sheer confusion by simply shouting out "NCIS," "CTU" and "CBI." :)

Personally, I really liked NCIS on Tuesday night. However, I was slightly disappointed in it though.
Things that I just loved:
Ziva coming back-yey!!! Thank God!
Tony and Ziva just staring at each other-you could seriously cut the sexual tension with a knife in that room!
Abby's speech to Ziva saying: what the hell is wrong with you? Tony saved your life!
And of course, the cute bathroom scene with Tony and Ziva-thank God she finally saw the error of her ways and apologized to Tony!!!

I was slightly disappointed in that I wanted to see a passionate kiss between Tony and Ziva, but I am glad that they are SLOWLY turning pages in their relationship-getting them into the sheets too quickly would die out the show a bit and their bantering would be meaningless.
