NCIS Minus One... (SPOILER)

If he dies.

Kate comes to collect his soul.

Has she done that before?

There was something about a near death experience and a number of alternate realities, one of which he married Ziva.

Oh yes, forgot that Jeanne Benoit was the other major woman in his life. Her reintroduction might be what prompts his leaving the team.

I guess its a shame, but in some ways I have lost interest in NCIS in the last season or so as I feel its gone stale, maybe it needs more character changes to shake it up, bishop did not really add anything to the team dynamic for me (thats not a dig at the character or the actress) in a way I preferred the 3 guys plus a extra of the week format they used shortly after Ziva's departure.

^Yeah. They did the same thing after Kate died, for a couple episodes or so, before Ziva officially became part of the team.

A mind-Kate showed up when he was dying of plague years and years ago.

I only remember the alt reality where he married Kate and she was pregnant. I'm not sure if the actress shot new footage for that.

No, she didn't - it was CGIed old footage. From what I remember, Sasha Alexander was about ready to give birth in France at the time and thus travel to Los Angeles for new footage was unfeasible.

^Kate was alive when Tony had the plague. It was actually the episode right before the one Kate died...

The alternate reality where Kate married Tony was the one where Gibbs was about to be shot by the guy in the diner, all of that crap happened within milliseconds. We all saw the people who had died. Jenny. Mike. Ari. The guy who killed Gibbs' family. Then Shannon and Kelly showed up.

For me her draw was To many secrets. She should have been about data and survailence and knowing things about the bad guys that's a few levels of secrecy above even vance.

Cassiday Freeman] played an almost defecting/captured Russian spy last week. This girl is so good at her job that she spun Smallville scripts into gold.

Maybe she's busy with Longmire, or maybe she thinks that she can do two shows, but if Cassiday replaces Michael, is that the first time the fieldteam has had two women in it?

I would thing so, from memory the field teams female members

Vivian Blackadder
Caitlin Todd
Ziva David
Ellie Bishop

But it might be intersting to go with a second female meber of the field team. With McGee stepping up to fufil Tony's shoes.

What about Tony's B Team, when Gibs was out of the way for a lengthy duration.

Liza LaPira memorably played Michelle Lee for 12 episodes.

She's landed in Angel from Hell as a minor character at the moment.

Except that Agent Lee sacrificed herself back in Season 6.

I would occasionally watch NCIS from time to time, but recently began watching from the beginning on Netflix; I'm currently up to Season 8. Weatherly is definitely a big part of what makes the show tick -- both his performance as DiNozzo, and his chemistry with the other characters. They've weathered cast changes before, and as long as the ratings are good and Mark Harmon wants to keep playing Gibbs, the show will go on, but Weatherly's absence will be very hard to fill.

As for how he exits, I don't want to see him die, but having him hop a flight to Tel Aviv and meet a waiting Ziva at the airport wouldn't be right either. That ship sailed ages ago.

Why do think it sailed ages ago? I think it would be good for him to try to get to her. Whether it happens is a whole other thing though.

Tel Aviv? No. I always thought Ziva would have left Israel like I said earlier. There's no way she would go back to Mossad with her father dead. Her dad had made enemies from the inside in his rise.

I like to think Ziva had gone back to the States a while back and found something to do with a different agency that deals with terrorism, or in the UK. I could see her doing this without telling Tony.

Tony was shown learning a new language last night in one scene..........wonder why? Foreshadowing?

Sarah Clarke is joining NCIS at the end of this season as one of the two potential regulars for next season. The potential male replacement hasn't been cast yet.

No Tony in yesterday's episode.

And they really need to stop using Gibbs' house as a safe house. You would think Gibbs would have thought of that after Ari made it into the basement years and years ago.
