Re: NCIS: "Judgment Day" 5/20 - 2-hour season finale! casting news

Also, will anyone besides me be really pissed if we don't get a scene of Gibbs going apeshit on the Director? Because that's EXACTLY what Gibbs would do.
I will. I LOVE to see him get all riled up....get's me all hot. Oh wait....I get all hot just when I SEE Mark Harmon....doesn't really so much matter what he's doing. :devil::lol::lol:

Sorry....I wouldn't be me in an NCIS thread if I didn't say something about my Silver Fox. :bolian:

I'm with you there. I may be a straight man but...

What I wouldn't do.

Interestingly this is a Chicago Hope reunion of sorts. The person who plays Vance also appeared with Mark Harmon on Chicago Hope.

Re: NCIS: "Judgment Day" 5/20 - 2-hour season finale! casting news

Lauren Holly was also on the last season of Chicago Hope. Who's next? Carla Gugino?

^ Interesting. I hadn't known that but, then again, by that time ER had won the war for my viewership.

TeeHee

Almost everybody has someone that they'd "cross over" for. ;):lol:

My running joke about Mark Harmon is that he may be old enough to be my father but....maybe I need a father figure; somebody to give me credit cards and punish me if I spend too much. :devil:

Re: NCIS: "Judgment Day" 5/20 - 2-hour season finale! Grading & Discus

Well, after a nice little 2+ month marathon, I've finally caught up on the entire show, from "Yankee White" to "Judgment Day." I'm really not into crime procedural shows, but the humor and the character interactions make NCIS stand out. I don't know what I'd do if DiNozzo, McGee, Ducky, or Abby ever left the show. Or Gibbs, I guess. But mostly those four, they make the show as far as I'm concerned. Ziva? Eh, I'm ambivalent towards her. Cote de Pablo is smokin' hot, but the idea of a Mossad operative working as a liaison to a U.S. Navy investigative agency rather than something more logical like, say, the CIA, has always been a little strange to me.

Anyway! Obviously, I'm glad it was Jenny who bit the bullet, and not anyone else. She was easily my least favorite character (I hated the idea of making the NCIS Director a more prominent character from the start). It'll be interesting to see how the team manages to finagle themselves back together, though I hope it'll take a few episodes. It should be fun to watch Gibbs deal with a new team.

So, does anyone know what the story is behind Bellisario's departure? Why was he let go from the show?

Re: NCIS: "Judgment Day" 5/20 - 2-hour season finale! Grading & Discus

Bellisario would rework the scripts and hand them in really late as in when they actors were on the set for eight hours waiting for the scripts. He would do this ALL the time.

There was a thread in here about it but I gather that it was case of Bellisario going or Mark Harmon going.

Given that producers are easier to replace than the star of the show, Bellisario went.

Iirc Harmon was getting rather peeve at things like late scripts deliverie and changes and generally things not running smoothly.

The story is that Harmon's generally a pretty easy going guy on set so if he started to get pretty pissed it meant that thing were serious.

Wow! I have never heard this. I wonder if the show could have continued with Tony in charge...

Anyways, I am disappointed that spoilerfix is removing NCIS from their covered series. Does anyone have a good spoiler site for NCIS?

Re: NCIS: "Judgment Day" 5/20 - 2-hour season finale! Grading & Discus

Okay second part of the finale aired tonight here in Sweden tonight
(yes they divided it up, the bastards) and I have to say I really liked it. This has been one of the strongest seasons yet of NCIS and it went out with a bang. Definetly didn't see Jenny's death coming and actually spouted "WHAT?!" when they broke up the team at the end, even though I know they're going to be back together somehow. I loved seeing Abby very different from how she usually is. And loved the short but oh to bried bit of Ziva in a bikini. Looking forward to next season, but the network airing it in Sweden is going to be nice to me and air the last half of the latest Bones season to keep me entertained in the meantime.
You stop that before I spank you!! I like her.
KILL ZIVA! :D
*spanks TE* You made me do it. :lol:
That almost made say I reeeeeaaallllyyyy dispise Ziva just to get a spanking by kitkat as well...but who am I kidding, I love a woman who can kick my ass and Ziva goes under that category.

I mentioned this in a separate thread but Gibbs' team has been spoilered. Apparently they're going to be people who have been seen on the show previously.

You know, something about just about every episode of season 5 felt off to me. I was never able to quite put my finger on it, but Bellisario not reworking the scripts could of been the cause of that feeling.

Don't get me wrong I still enjoyed the show, but I just got an odd feeling.

Re: NCIS: "Judgment Day" 5/20 - casting spoilers for season 6

Sources confirm that newcomer Jonathan Magnum (far left) will join previous NCIS guest stars Liza Lapira (center) and Jonathan LaPaglia (far right) in filling the void left by Michael Weatherly, Sean Murray and Cote de Pablo -- all of whom were reassigned in the finale (but who will remain with the show nonetheless).

Although the length of the new hires' tour of duty remains top-secret (they're being billed as recurring players), I've been assured by the TPTB at NCIS that disposable plot devices they are not. To that end, I took advantage of my Level III security clearance and gathered some highly classified intel on special agents Keating, Lee, and Langer. Herewith are some highlights:

SPECIAL AGENT DANIEL KEATING (Jonathan Magnum)
* Highly skilled in computer technology. Has an extensive background in solving cyber crime, including recent ring of computer intrusions in the DC metropolitan area.
* Needs improvement in field work; he lacks hands-on experience in the field. His communication skills are also lacking.

SPECIAL AGENT MICHELLE LEE (Liza Lapira)
* NCIS legal division transfer.
* Pursued career as field agent following her stint with Gibbs and team in 2006-2007
* Transfer was delayed due to average assessment from Gibbs.
* Strong analytical thinker with extensive knowledge of both domestic and international law. However, has developed a structured form of methodical investigation. Needs to be more creative in examination and implementation when research leads to legal or physical road blocks.
* Not in file: She had a secret love affair with one Jimmy Palmer. It's still a secret to the agency, so shhhhh!

SPECIAL AGENT BRENT LANGER(Jonathan LaPaglia)
* FBI agent with 10-plus years of field work.
* Recommended and referred to NCIS by Gibbs.
* Previously worked with NCIS and Gibbs on joint NCIS/FBI case involving the death of Marine near a Mosque under FBI surveillance for suspicion of domestic terrorism.
* Skilled liaison between external agencies.
* Excellent investigation skills.
* Shows leadership potential.
