I'll be attaked for this but I really enjoyed the Frog plotline.
You won't be attacked by me....I kind of liked it too. I thought it was stupid how obsessed the director was about him in general but the story itself was interesting.

Yeah, but the DiNozzo undercover operation was awesome. I'll admit that I didn't see it coming.

I liked where it was headed... but I don't think we, as the audience, really got the payout of it. Why was Jenny so intrested in Le Frog... And also, what role did her dad play into it? Because we didn't understand why she was so into catching this guy, it didn't really make sense, and it made her look more like a CCRRAAZZYY woman

Maybe this will be closed up in the upcoming season...

It already has been, in previous episodes, maybe you missed a few?

Jenny wanted Le Frog dead because she believes that he killed her father. From her point of view, it wasn't crazy at all.

The BIG unanswered question is - why did Jenny's father lie to his own daughter about not being, well, dead? And, what action will he take when he hears the news about his daughter's death?

The fourth season finale kind of felt like a big "Fuck you" from Bellisario since he was fired.

That might have been her original intentions, but it becomes clear that Col. Shepard is not dead. Why not find Col. Shepard.

Finally saw this episode last night, and I enjoyed it. The first half was kind of slow, and a bit repetitive (notably with Tony continually rebuffing Ziva's concerns about the Jenny situation), but once Jenny turned up dead (yay! I really grew to dislike her character over the past year, so wasn't at all saddened that it was her), things really picked up, right up to that frakked-up ending.

I'm sure everyone'll be back together eventually next season, but it'll be interesting to see how they get there. And since the new Director is the one who split them up, does that mean he'll only be there temporarily? I'd really like to see Alan Dale back as the Director. He was cool.

I really have to wonder....

Although I enjoy the "character" interaction -- how the HELL does Dinozzo keep his job from week to week? Honestly...

I'm sure it'll be like Gibb's "retirement". They'll be back for some reason and end up working together.
Still, I can't see why Mossad would basically pay an agent to play detective for the US for a few years. Errr?

Also, Jennie's father is still dead, isn't he? I thought the 'CIA' or whomever was just messing with her.

Re: NCIS: "Judgment Day" 5/20 - 2-hour season finale! Grading & Discus

Worf2Ds9, I'd be hard pressed to see how they could not get rid of Director Vance if the team is to get together.

AjBryant, Tony has shown time and again, that despite his somewhat unorthodox style, he is a very skilled agent that accomplishes incredible things. So much so, that the Director chose him for an important undercover op. (Still love the scene with Tony singing outside of the restaurant)

Firehawk12, I'm sure it will be that way too, but I hope it take 8-10 eps of the new season to have them get back together and show them doing stuff apart from each other.
As for Mossad paying an agent to play detective, her dad is very important, no doubt he pulls strings to keep her there... And the US-Israel friendship is without a doubt, one of the strongest international bonds our nation, and the nation of Israel, holds.

I don't know. As much as I hate to come down on another Tony, he astounds me. He's responsible for blowing at least one surveillance through either being an idiot and clowning around, or actually going out to *hit on* the object of the surveillance.

The director was killed on his watch.

He would rather party than work.

I really think that if it weren't for Gibbs slappin him upside his head all the time and riding herd on him, he'd be back on a beat as a regular cop again. What makes him successful is that he's part of a team that is, it seems, far more professional than he is.

The director was not killed on his watch. The director ordered him to leave. He has to follow her orders.

And yes, he did ruin an op or two... but how many has he successfully completed?

Re: NCIS: "Judgment Day" 5/20 - 2-hour season finale! casting news

Variety

Rocky Carroll aka Director Vance is joining the show as a regular.

I wonder if this means the team will be split up longer than many of us thought they'd be.

I don't think so. I figured the Director would be permanent and Gibbs would just pester him until he gave in.

Also, will anyone besides me be really pissed if we don't get a scene of Gibbs going apeshit on the Director? Because that's EXACTLY what Gibbs would do.

Re: NCIS: "Judgment Day" 5/20 - 2-hour season finale! casting news

Just wondering, didn't they split up the CSI team for awhile? Maybe they'll just do parallel stories for a few episodes.
JAG did the same thing when Rabb became a pilot for like, 5 episodes.

I will. I LOVE to see him get all riled up....get's me all hot. Oh wait....I get all hot just when I SEE Mark Harmon....doesn't really so much matter what he's doing.:lol::lol:

Sorry....I wouldn't be me in an NCIS thread if I didn't say something about my Silver Fox. :bolian:

Re: NCIS: "Judgment Day" 5/20 - 2-hour season finale! casting news

I am actually shocked that they made Rocky a regular... I would have figured they would have either killed him or had him resign in disgrace to get Gibbs team back together.

As for the Silver Fox, I would enjoy seeing him interacting with a bunch of probies for a few eps!

Re: NCIS: "Judgment Day" 5/20 - 2-hour season finale! Grading & Discus

It seems like they exchanged one annoying Director for another. I like all the characters except for Jenny. I was afraid they'd kill off Palmer as the most expendable. I like the interaction between the characters, so if they can't interact, I won't enjoy the show as much.

Re: NCIS: "Judgment Day" 5/20 - 2-hour season finale! Grading & Discus

The cast interactions are what make this show, imo. The story lines are second fiddle at best. The humour and chemistry between the characters are an integral component, without them the show wouldn't have near the level of charm it currently has.

I forget where the article was but I saw an interview/article with one of the main writers for the show. He said that they were so inundated with people screaming, "You're not breaking up the team are you?!" "You can't do that!", etc. that he wanted to put it out there that they are NOT pulling a House (ie, replacing Gibbs' team with probies), this will be a temporary situation and that everyone shouldn't lose faith. He said that they are absolutely not breaking up the team.
