NCIS franchise

If there were to be Hawaii characters on the Sydney series, I'd want it to be Jane and Ernie, maybe Jessie. Lucy was my least favorite character from the Hawaii series. As for super-duper-ueber-agent Sam Hanna, hope he gets nowhere close to Sydney, already ruined Hawaii's final season.

I was annoyed
not by the lab created virus transmitted by remote controllable mosquito part - but rather the antidote/cure stolen-reclaimed-still in time part for Rosie while the bike-police-guy already bit the dust and Rosie seemingly rather easily recovered, despite not being infected much later. They also should have found a better way to include Rosie's wife passing away than him reacting this way and Blue telling him in the hospital.

Meh, Rosie is a tough old bird :)

And his exposure occurred some time after the police officer's.

I don't see CBS purging the NCIS shows while the Law and Order or Chicago shows are still going strong on NBC.

I'm not sure the Rural Purge axed showes that were still making money. The market has reached or is really close to reaching saturation. A new show on a different network wil do what what The Simpsons did to the Cosby Show, and knock down NCIS, the tent pole. When it falls, the other shows wil toppel like dominoes. CBS will either purge the NCIS shows and take the hit to their ratings and use the money used for the NCIS showes on new showes or take hit after hit as the NCIS shows all fall seperately.

History doesn't always repeat itself, sometimes it rhymes.

Even if what you say is true, so what? The NCIS shows are airing now, and I'm enjoying them now. I'm not going to let myself get worked over some hypothetical purge that may or may not happen in a few years,

I'm just expressing my opinion. Using something that happened before as an example. I may be wrong. You don't ever need to get worked up over a hypothetical.

NCIS isn't going anywhere thanks to cast turnover keeping the budget steady. Look at Blue Bloods. No one left and it became too expensive. The Dick Wolf shows that are past 10+ seasons, characters disappear for entire episodes so they don't have to pay the actors.

Soap Operas had characters leave. Come back. Leave again and come back played by a new person. At least one character went upstairs to get his skis and never came back down. Child actors are replaced quickly because of the cost of educating them. SORAS (Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrom) had a child go from new born, to preteen, to teen, to adult in about 3- 5 years. The newborns were rarely seen, they were just props or an infant actor for a few shots. Otherwise, the cast kept changing, disapearing and reappearing. They still became too expensive compared to their competition. The NcIS cast has had a nearly complete turnover. People may or may not like a completly new cast. Look ar All In The Family, it changed its name and only Archie stayed. It wasn't liked.

Change is inevitable. NCIS and its spin offs will end. They will either end all at once, or one at a time, but they will end. I don't see them lasting 50 or more years.

I don't know where to find it, but I'd like to see if there was a ratings drops when Abby left and when Jethro left. I don't know if Tim is considered part of the original cast, or a reoccurring character; if he was reocurring, then the entire cast has changed.
