I have yet to watch it, maybe this evening after the dishes are done.
Well, maybe they can make a spinoff about missing children and move Mark Harmon to that and leave the real crimes to NCIS.

I thought it was a very good episode, but Gibbs having to resort to killing Lee was a bit extreme to me. Seems odd that a man with his mucho experience in the field couldn't come up with something else. Why not try to shoot the guy anyway (worked for Tomme Lee Jones in The Fugitive during a similar situation). Or try talking to the guy some more, buy some time while they thought up a new tactic? Killing Lee felt more like an okay-this-storyline-is-over-so-let's-get-rid-of-Lee-now thing rather than a logical conclustion.
Well his shooting hand was injured and wasn't his head injured and he wasn't seeing clearly? It would of been hard for Gibbs to do anything else in that situation.
See, the thing is, the writers are god. They gave a reason to justify his killing Lee, but they could have written anything they wanted.
This was just a neat way to wrap up the story before the Winter break... and that's fine, it's just that it did feel like a contrivance to clean up all the loose ends.

Well, she did commit treason. And she did murder Langer. Did you prefer she spend life in prison?
And she urged Gibbs to shoot... what she wanted more than anything was to ensure the bad guy didn't get away and murder her sister/daughter.
I thought it was an excellent episode with lots of twists and turns even if I called a number of them in advance.
That's why I said the ending was pretty much choreographed, much like the fact that she had this young girl kidnapped. It just feels like the ultimate shoehorning of plot to me, like they felt like they screwed up at the start of the season and this was their way of trying to fix things.
Why I find this frustrating was because they DID a game changer a couple of years ago when Gibbs quit NCIS. The Navy fucked up and let a terrorist blow up one of their ships on purpose, so he left out of frustration. There was no last minute miraculous save from the President or Space Men - he tried to do the right thing and it didn't matter. Hell, even Gibbs' semi-retirement was handled with more care than the Lee storyline they tried to do here.
They should've done more stories that covered multiple episodes. After Gibbs left, how about the phone call between him and Ziva was the final scene of the season premiere? And then he shows up back at NCIS at the end of the second episode? Then one or two episodes to resolve the storyline?

I thought it was an excellent show and Lee got her just rewards. After all she did kill an agent and pass info to a traitor! I wonder if we'll see her picture on the wall in the bar next week?
Not only do I do the dishes I cooked the turkey dinner too.
Didn't think about the bar thing... I think Gibbs has a new found respect for her
