Ok, I lost the Google Earth 1701-D thread, but I was wondering, since we have the deck plans, has anyone ever mapped the actual 1701D using Doom or Quake or some other 3D game with modding abilities? That would be impressive to be able to walk through the ship, perhaps with Starfleet crew walking around....

...any takers?

Considering the sheer volume of that ship, not sure how feasable that is.

Star Trek Online, when it comes, is supposed to be able to let you do that, though.

Well considering the the size of some of the environments in games these days I don't think it's that unrealistic.

The Defiant from DS9 has been modeled in Second Life. So has a Klingon Bird of Prey. I don't think they're completely accurate, however.

It was a Quake 1 mod that someone wrote in a text editor. It only had a couple areas: Bridge and Main Engineering. Don't ask me for a link because this was from 1997 or so.
