I entered two 'spite' brackets into my work tourney (not eligible to win, just for taunting purposes). One had NO upsets, and the other I just flipped a coin for every spot. I'm hoping at least a couple people do worse than the arbitrary, no-thought brackets, so I can mock them properly! :techman:

Well, I don't follow basketball, so I am unfamiliar with any of the teams. So, after careful deliberation, studying, and racking my brain, I filled my brackets like a real man: I flipped a quarter for every bracket. And I will probably lose: most of my first seat guys go down in either the first or second round.

My girlfriend signed up. She knows nothing about basketball, and thinks that this may be the year for a 16 to beat a 1. You never know I guess. :)

I quickly filled out my brackets just so I'd have something in there. It's a good thing I did, since I didn't get back in time after I had figured out what teams I wanted. I've got those on my money board, though. It'll be interesting to see which of my boards do better: The quick fill-in or the one that I did a little research on.

Well, I was hoping for some upsets or something (especially since I picked a couple that turned out wrong). But I did it more out of Big 5 loyalty anyway. I almost picked Georgia to win, but, like the game, I decided at the late that Xavier would win. Not that this matters, since I'm only going to last as long as my bias against Duke lasts.

Oh, I am so very humped, and we're only seven games in! My western region champion: out. My overall champion: out. One of my midwest finalists: out. One of my southern semi-finalists: out. Best case scenario, I can now only get 103 out of the 192 points. My trusty quarter failed my for the last time!

Eight down. No upsets. I'm looking pretty good though, only because I picked all favourites except for Kent State. Let's see how the evening games go.

My only upset pick, Kentucky, went down in flames.

What kind of world are we living in when Kentucky goes out in the first round??

:scream:

Wow. Cougs tied at the half, but they start the second half with a 25-4 run!

A lot of close games now, and a lot of my picks in danger. This is fun. :)

BYU and USC go down... luckily I only had both into the second round. Duke survives a tough go with Belmont. The higher seeds are starting to fall, and now is the time when upset predictions come true or break the bracket.

I called the BYU and USC upsets, but some of my other upset calls were off. I'm 8 for 12 now, getting the Washington St./Winthrop, UNLV/Kent St., Marquette/Kentucky, and Michigan St./Temple games wrong.

I always count on the MAC to pull off at least one win, and usually they don't let me down. Kent St just couldn't throw a basketball in a lake today, it seemed. Well, in the first half, at least.

The Michigan St / Temple game ... I love Tom Izzo as a tournament coach. And Temple was not having the best of years, so picking the Spartans was almost automatic for me.

Now, Kansas St over USC... was not an easy pick at all. OJ Mayo has quite the future in front of him, and there is quite a bit more talent on that team. However, I figured that Beasely and Walker are talented enough, that this was a good candidate for a 11/6 upset special.

I can't believe I never got around to entering a bracket. :(

Ahhh.... won't matter anyhow. After this weekend, I'll probably so far behind you couldn't see me with the Hubble.

Wisconsin just has to be one of the best coached teams I have seen in a very long time. Fullerton has made several runs and was even leading the Badgers in the first half. But Wisconsin never let themselves be pulled out of their own game. They stayed with it, hung tough on the glass, and nailed the shots when they had to. Neither have they turned it over that much.
