NCAA Football 2017

Yeah, that game was painful.

Our defense played really well, but what was with the offense? We had 3-4 possessions in a row that started in Texas territory in the first half and got 0 points out of it. Everybody looked off: Darnold, Rojo, everyone. If not for that crazy touchdown right before halftime, we would have lost this game.

Washington State is an absolute trap game. Mark my words.

It was nice seeing UCLA go down. I caught parts of the Vols/Gators game (poor Tennessee!), and the Holy War (which was pretty lopsided).

Overall a good day.

It was a heck of a game to watch from a neutral perspective though. Have another one tomorrow with Cal who has played well in the short season.

It was a fun game to watch. Not quite as good as the Rose Bowl with Texas, but a better outcome.

:techman:

I haven't seen any of Cal's games, so I don't know what to expect.

Several last-minute game-winning plays this week! Florida over Kentucky (TD in last minute), Texas A&M over Arkansas (OT), Wake over App State (blocked last-second field goal), and South Carolina over LA Tech (last-second field goal), just to name a few. Not exactly top-tier games, but still fun ones to watch.

USC vs WSU tonight.

A game Friday at 730.

Who's doing the scheduling down there?

Yep. Dumpster fires everywhere.

My alma mater, Georgia Tech, is now 3-2, with a grand total of points lost by of 2. And we literally lost both those games in the last seconds. :brickwall:

Has anyone else been following the College Football Imperialism threads on reddit.com/r/CFB? I've actually been looking forward to these more than the actual game results. Basically, all the FBS teams are given territory based on who's school is closest to a given county. And each week, the winner of a game gets the territory that was previously owned by the losing team (as well as keeping their own). Really sucks when you don't have any territory, or you beat someone who doesn't have any territory. At this point, some FCS teams have made it onto the map by beating FBS schools.

Maps so far:

USC squeaked by again. Just barely.

I'm afraid Norte Dame is going to blow us out.

Sadly that wasn’t hard to see.

We could easily have two more losses (Texas and Utah).

We’re definitely not a top tier team this season.

With Penn State and TCU losing yesterday, the first official rankings should be quite interesting.

I'm going to guess:

Alabama
Georgia
Wisconsin
Ohio State

You have Miami undefeated, but I'm guessing yesterday's win puts Ohio State in the top 4.

I'm curious to see what happens with the 1-loss teams. I think Notre Dame is in the top 4 because they have the "best loss" to date and Wisconsin's strength of schedule might be problematic.

Bama
Georgia
Notre Dame
Ohio State
Oklahoma or Wisconsin

Week 10 Imperialism map
My God. It's full of corn.
Reddit thread

Miami still has the most number of territories. USC or Iowa has the largest area, depending on whether or not you want to count Alaska.

I'll be honest, this imperialism thing is actually making the season fun for me, distracting me from GT's craptastic season. :D

Well, no need to worry about Ohio State now.

That was quite a beating.

Whew, Georgia that was UGLY. Auburn should be kicking down somebody's door to move to the East. It's shaping up to be one of those years where there are a bunch of 1 and 2-loss teams fighting for playoff spots. The Crimson Tide is even looking vulnerable right now.
