NBC Midseason Schedule

NBC has ordered more scripts for Harry's Law. I expect 16 episodes and then a cancellation. Prime Suspect is effectively cancelled.

Awake is still not scheduled. That bothers me. It'll probably take Rock Center's spot.

That is good news.

When Prime Suspect leaves the air, every network series I watch will be on CBS. What's strange about this is that only a few years ago, I almost exclusively watched NBC: The West Wing, ER, Law & Order, and Law & Order: Criminal Intent (the one show I watched on another network was Smallville; for several years before that, the only other non-NBC show I watched was Enterprise).

I still watch some of NBC's cable output, in White Collar, but not nearly so much as when I tuned in for Burn Notice, Royal Pains, White Collar, and Psych every week. It's weird watching a network I almost never watched before, and watching nothing on the network I watched almost exclusively will be stranger still.

It's too bad that Prime Suspect never found an audience. It's a really good show; I don't think anything else currently on television, even on cable, has the same sense of verisimilitude that it delivers.

I'm pretty much at the point of giving up on the broadcast nets entirely. Their stuff is just bland mush compared to cable.

I just bought the third season of Damages on DVD from Target for $10. It's amazing. I still find it amazing how EVERYONE on the show gets killed! One of the best dramas on TV right now (The other being Breaking Bad).
