NBC is reviving Heroes

Glad to hear it. I've been a fan of Grunberg since Alias, and I liked him a lot on the original show.
I enjoyed Parkman alot too (as well as Hiro). Unfortunately, they were two of the characters that got "over-powered" and had to be "de-powered", so, hopefully, in this new version, they won't jack the characters around like that

For me, Parkman was the heart of the show. Grunberg definitely has a very likeable quality.

Anyone know what the basic premise of this new show will be? What are the details?

The Search For Grunberg.

HRG gathers a new team of Heroes to rescue the old ones from the island of Krakoa.....

That's cool. I always liked Greg Grunberg.

IGN posted a description of the first trailer after the Upfronts.
Here are a few highlits:
*Most of the "EVO", which is apprently what they have called people with powers now that their existance is public knowledge.
*Noah Bennett claims he is just a paper salesman, and someone tries to convince him to help. He gets an envelope with a pair of horn rimmed glasses in it.
*They showed files on familiar characters from the first season, including one labeling Mohinder an EVO terrorist, and a memorial for Claire.
*Zachary Levi's character is a bad guy, and they showed him and a woman shooting a whole room of possible EVOs after giving a speech about their powers being dangerous and unnatural.
*They showed Future Hiro, and the Haitian
*A new character had a big metal ball attatched to his wrist. He cuts off his hand and flies away.
*Another new characer, Miko is seen holding a box with a sword in it.
*A masked ninja like character is briefly glimpsed.
*It eneded with a woman saying This happened faster than we thought. I don’t thin I can control it much longer. The sky behind her then turned into an image similar to the Heroes logo.

I thought he was good at voice over-ing. He was just bad as a meaningful character.

i liked his voiceovers too...but i think his 1st season character was fine...imagine .. and actual South Asian as a scientist? Not something you see in Hollywood much, especially a lead character.

The whole changing him into a mutant was bad, however.

Hopefully, it'll be a soft reboot.

Ramamur is probably the actor I am least excited about seeing return.

I liked season one Mohinder. I'm happy to see him return.

Yes, that was one of the worst things they did. Like HRG, the character needs to be a normal human.

Well, they changed him into a mutant because they ran out of things to do with him otherwise.

Indeed. Running out of ideas is not the fault of the character or the actor-- it's the fault of the writers.

I'm pretty sure this has been said before, possibly even by me, but the biggest mistake the original series made was not sticking to their original plan and bringing in a whole new cast in season 2. I find it ironic that they weren't allowed to do it, while now thanks to shows like American Horror Story and True Detective it's a popular style of show.
