I think WWII German regalia and vehicles is not only one of the most popular historical hobbies out there, it's also one of the most well-documented and well-researched.

What I would like to know is why that is such a popular hobby. Strikes me as rather macabre.

I certainly think Japanese have been given a free pass unlike the Germans, with their savage racism against fellow East Asians to be also equally puzzling, inept and childish, even though I found the wartime anti-Japanses propaganda to be genuinely sickening.

Not to mention the Soviets whose actions in the beginning of WWII in Poland, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Romania when the Soviets were allied with Hitler's Germany and later on in the areas they "liberated" from German occupation. In some areas, most notably the Baltic countries, the Soviet were regarded as even worse than the Nazis.

Also, the Hirogen stuff from VOY. And the Cardassians were pretty much just Nazis too, right?

I didn't see ENTERPRISE's Space Nazi you refer too...but yes, I do remember the Hirogen crap episode from Voyager. I totally had forgotten about that one!!! That was not only a bad episode, it ruined what could have been a great nemesis for Voyager...Hirogen!!

It was really bad, but I thought it was a tip of the hat to the goofyness of TOS. Which had a lot of weird things like that, space nazis, space rome, space america, space gangsters...
