I know that I made a thread before about the how to navigate the lit-verse before in Star Trek, but what about when it's in-between shows? What about the novels that follow one character, like Spock in "A Child of Both Worlds?"

I think he's asking about reading orders for books that revolve around one character or aren't tied to a particular series.
Well there are basically three ways of approaching this issue:
1. Publication order. It's the easiest way.
2. Go by what you think you will like.
3. Timeline order, basically Memory Beta's list of apperances for Spock.

Awesome, I also noticed that on going in between, or along side the series by numbers, like TNG #6. For example, I was confused by the Enterprise books that weren't Relaunch novels, like "Surak" I believe it was called.
ENT: Surak's Soul. They stopped numbering the novels somewhen around the late 90s/early 00s, so the Enterprise novels never had ongoing numbering as opposed to the other series' novels.
